Warning, if you are lucky enough to go, there will be no forgetting the magic that is Domaine de Murtoli. That said, it may not be everyone’s cup of tea, but for those with an open mind, hold on to your heart! Having enjoyed Domaine de Murtoli for the past three summers, and now going back for a forth, I... More

A more serene spot you will not find. A stay at Murtoli was like stepping back in time with today's amenities. The sheepfold we stayed in was fully equipped with top of the line kitchenware (duplicated in the outdoor kitchen, right down to the dishwasher). Furnishings were comfortable. The Grotto restaurant was incredibly atmospheric and romantic. Wear flat shoes. At... More

We were very excited to be visiting Domaine de Murtoli. Five nights in October 2014 at I Pini, a converted barn in The Valley. We had a difficult 18-hour journey, with a baby in the car, beset by unexpected problems one of which was a complete breakdown of technology. This caused us to be without the out of hour’s telephone... More

We are sincerely sorry to face this kind of situation which is clearly in bad faith. With our supporting evidences, and as Mrs. “Lele404” eventually stated, we sent all our documents and access information to the Domain a while earlier to her arrival. If Mrs. “Lele404” could not access her email and use her mobile devices, it was obviously beyond... More

This place is quite special and different from anything else I ever did see! It is a lot like a safari in Africa.... just the fact that you have to drive 20 minutes to get from the reception to your house and another 20 minutes to get to nearest neighbor! It is the perfect place for a quiet holiday away... More

We have just ended an idyllic week at Murtoli. We stayed in 'I Pila' - the sheep fold that is one of the most remote on the property. Although I Pila is a 20 minute drive on dirt tracks from the beach, the place more than makes up for the drive in terms of privacy and luxury service. The sheepfold... More

Mertoli had been recommended to us in glowing terms by a couple whose tastes and interests were similar to ours, whose views we respected and who had themselves returned to Mertoli many times. So our expectations were high. They were fulfilled in spades. We had an idyllic week. It flew by all too fast. We can add little to the... More

This place is pretty much beyond your wildest dreams. Even their website doesn't do it justice. Be forewarned that you have a 10 - 20 minute drive just to get off the property (get an SUV with good traction!). So, plan ahead for meals (they'll shop for you before you get there without a surcharge - take them up on... More

This is an exceptional place and hard for me to compare with other vacations. After staying here for a week during our honeymoon, I would simply say put your trust in the many exceptional 5-star reviews described here, and the other professional reviews found online which describe the thoughtfulness, care and style which went into creating this place. The site... More

Murtoli is extraordinary – unlike any other place in our extensive travels – and if simple fixes were done to remedy a couple of serious problems, the experience of being there could be perfection. In addition to the rugged natural beauty of the place, a high point for us was the restaurants. Except for two nights at the Grotto, we... More

The Domaine de Murtoli is a unique place, where the stunning beauty of the Mediterranean landscape is masterfully combined with the most sophisticated and respectful restoration of the existing bergeries. We stayed at Arba Barona, an amazing and charming stone house where every detail seems casual but is in fact the result of a careful aesthetic research. Both the inside... More
