The hostel is huge. The rooms are clean. The individual bathrooms are spotless. The owners/hosts are friendly, funny, will provide best rates for tours, and they serve you a 3 course breakfast. I have never had a hostel provide such a wicked awesome breakfast.

The owners of SSC are what set this place apart. They were happy to explain all the different tour options and didn't push one company over another. They made breakfast each morning as well. When my girlfriend and I got food poisoning one day, they allowed us to make a last-minute decision to stay an extra night and also cooked... More

My wife and I went there with our 6-month old baby, and we felt very much welcome in this familiy-run establishment. The kids were off from school so they wanted to play with our baby all the time. They are genuinely nice people who like helping travelers out with all questions or arrangements they need. The room we had was... More

Well situated in the center of town, easy to find, the price was ok. We were in the top private room, which had a great view and really spacious with a private bathroom. But it was exposed to wind on all sides and you could feel the draft. Although it was also due to the awful and cold weather at... More

If I planned to stay here longer than 2 nights I would've had to change hostels. The atmosphere is uninspiring, the floors are dirty, the bed posts had nails sticking out and as a solo traveler there isn't much of a lounge to meet people. The staff was incredibly kind but not always helpful with suggestions. It was bearable but... More

This hostel was a great find for $9 in a four person dorm, you get a comfy bed, breakfast and hot shower. Each room has a private bathroom with hot shower. The breakfast is great; eggs, cereal, fruit, toast, tea and coffee. It's a family run hostel which gives it a homely atmosphere. The common area is great to meet... More

This hostel is amazing, the guy from the hostel helped me with all my questions. The hostel itself is clean, the dorm has an own bathroom and the people were nice. The internet is fast and you can use the kitchen. In the morning you get a breakfast including fruits, eggs, bread and some cerials. What do you can expect more?... More

We got there at 10:30am and got a room on the spot. Even though breakfast is from 7-10, the owner's brother cooked us breakfast. The room was decent. Bathroom could use some touching up. No major complaints here :)

We had a private room with ensuite. It was clean, comfortable and the shower was hot. The breakfast is tasty and filling including cereal, fruit, eggs and coffee included in the very reasonable price. It is in a perfect location a 200m walk to the triangle of Santa Elena and the same to the bus stop. The staff helped us... More

Nice rooms ( we had a private room on the top floor with private bathroom and a little kitchen), friendly and helpfull staff! We had a very pleasant stay here. It can get a bit windy down there so if you plan on visiting during the raining season, make sure to pack some warm clothes!
