This hostel is more like a hotel. It includes an incredible breakfast of fruit, pancakes, tea/coffee, juice etc. etc. The staff are friendly and accommodating due to a few complications upon our check-in (they didn't receive our reservation). We were put in a private room even though we booked a shared room because there was no room in the shared... More

This truly is a hostel and not a hotel. Yes, a good breakfast is included, but you are directed to wash and dry your dishes. The rooms are minimal - extremely dated. Signs posted date from 2005. At night the wind ripped so loud around the building it was difficult to sleep (we were there for three windy nightsin March... More

This hostel was great, the staff were fantastic and helpful with all our needs. Small but decent breakfast every morning prepared fresh for upon arriving at the kitchen in the morning. They are tucked in on a back road behind the main road into Monteverde, short walk into town for whatever you need or out the door and to the... More

The staff here are so friendly, always finding time to help you out and explain everything you need to know. If you book and tour and need to cancel or reschedule this is done by the hostel staff without any hassle. Any cancelled tours are 100% refunded. The breakfast is great,a plate of fruit and either eggs on toast or... More

I stayed in this hostel because of several recommendations from fellow travellers and was not disappointed. I received a warm welcome and lots of helpful advice regarding places to eat and local supermarkets, ATMs and activities. The rooms were comfortable and quiet and the sunny morning view during a fantastic free breakfast was gorgeous. I found the hostel to be... More

Clean, practical and relaxed hostel with the staff as the cherry on the top! The staff arranged all the activites for us and was so helpful and welcoming! Great view from the kitchen/common area where you have the included breakfast. Great value for money, recommend it!

While initially we found the staff quite friendly and the rooms adequate we had small issues. We stayed in the hotel part of the building. The shower was a pipe with cold water coming out of it, while this is no means a problem for me, the level of luxury did not match the price. We are also criticised by... More

Very clean, helpful and affordable. A small but good breakfast is included in the price and the reception is very helpful in booking tours. A great feature is the great vies from the terrace! Just five min walk outside town centre is well worth it.

Everywhere else was booked up and luckily there was space at this place. We booked a private room which was $35/night with breakfast. The view was gorgeous, they have a nice communal kitchen. There is a woman who works very hard there named Lily and she was AMAZING. Anything we needed, she helped us with immediately, always with a big... More

My wife and I stayed at this hostel for three nights. The staff are very friendly and helpful. We stayed in a private room but with no bathroom (sharable bathroom). The place is very clean. I have nothing negative to say about this place. I would recommend this place to anyone. If I could turn the clock back, I would... More
