Hotel Las Orquídas is such a cozy, clean hotel. You feel right at home. Its a small hotel but rooms are spacious and comfortable. Service was great. They serve breakfast every morning and make sure to book tours, restaurants and anything else you may need during your stay. My husband and I loved it!

I stayed here for one night in March 2015. When you enter Las Orquideas, it feels like a cabin and an extension of someone's home. The reception area is cute, with tons of artifacts on the wall, rocking chairs in a corner, shared TV for all. You can also see the open kitchen and dining area from the reception. Check-in... More

A warm welcome and plenty of help offered in this pleasant Hotel. The thin walls & howling wind ,particularly at night was a bit of an issue.Lovely views from the rear of the Hotel and well placed for the center of Santa Elena. At night we ate with the locals at the small restaurant just down the road from the... More

My sister and I stayed in Santa Elena and we stayed at this hotel. The inside is very well kept and it has a rustic cabin look and it makes you feel like home. The whole common area is absolutely adorable. The owner and all staff were extremely sweet and were so welcoming when we came. The rooms are very... More

We really enjoyed our stay, we had one of the 2 "family rooms" that are in a separate building on the property. We expected dorm style, but were pleasantly surprised to find there was a separate master bedroom as well as bunk beds and a single all in the common room. We had 6 people and were quite comfortable. The... More

Spent 3 nights, well located, breakfast variety, room sizes ample, hospitality , service, clean, family atmosphere, coatis & monkey to see just out our window. Only negative rooms are not sound proof.

The staff and owner were very nice. The hotel is pretty well located as city center is not too far a walk. If you have a vehicle like we did, you will be ok. Room was $70.00, which is not pricey in the area, but rooms are quite ordinary. In fact, rooms are small, rustic (very outmoded) and walls seem... More

Warm and inviting environment. Rooms are clean and the homemade breakfast was delicious The real gem though is the lovely owner Nidia. She helped us in so many ways and went above and beyond to make our stay with 2 children an enjoyable experience... 1.I inadvertently left my iPhone at prior hotel in La Fortuna-Nidia facilitated a shuttle service to... Las Orquideas is situated outside the tourist bustle of Santa Elena and Monteverde, but near enough to be comfortably walkable, even in the wind and rain we experienced in late January. The service was good, though the breakfasts were a bit spare. Wifi speeds were (surprisingly) very high, higher than some places you'd find in New York! The staff were... More

Don't be put off with this more simple, small hotel. The owner and all her staff were quite simply lovely. Of all the Hotels we stayed in recently in quite a trek through Costa Rica this one gave us the most hospitality. Room more than adequate and good value. First floor, comfy bed with pristine bathroom and plenty of hot... More
