We stayed in a room with a lovely balcony overlooking the garden and view of stunning sunsets. The beds were very comfortable. Staff was friendly and helpful, arranging tours as well as guiding us to good local restaurants. Also enjoyed the delicious, hot breakfast which was included with the room.

Big rooms but bad smell from the bathroom. Bathroom in a poor state. Rooms a bit dark and lack of proper lighting. Could feel the springs in the mattress. Average Breakfast. Lack of parking lot. Almost cold in the rooms. Otherwise good service.

We stayed two days in this small hotel wich is largely enough. The rooms are very basic (no phone , no hair dryer) . The walls between the rooms are paper thin . You can hear everything , but really everything ( neighbors and passers outside, housekeeping listening radio when cleaning rooms...) Breakfast is very simple and the girl who... More

Stayed here for a couple of nights in July. The rooms were tidy and up to date with incredible views of the surrounding area. The grounds are very well maintained and are a beautiful spot to enjoy after a busy day. Use used the restaurant several times and were happy with the food and service. As others have noted it... Staff was very friendly and helpful in deciding which activities to do in the area. The climate in Monteverde is quite wet and windy so clothes don't dry and rooms are "damp." Hotel was quite inexpensive and suited our needs. Great wifi and good location (not in the center of town). Could hear people walking around at night from the... More

A little outside the town, this hotel is a good base for activities related to the cloud forest. Rooms are adequate; few amenities. Breakfast is good but typical hotel cost of about $8. They also do laundry for $4 per kilo. The noise level is a little high on the weekend, motor bikes are the main culprits. It sits above... More

The place was Nice, a little a way from the center, which was good. The breakfast was ok. The beds weren't that comfortable... There room smelled a lot like bug killers... But Monteverde and its activities were really fun!

Nice setting, nice people, great breakfast. Only 5 mins of hot water, lots of insects and spiders in the room when we checked in, the beds were not particularly comfortable. Great location, cost effective. Sleep quality was very bad.

This is a very interesting part of the country, but very windy - not bad with those tropical temperatures, but it does surprise you how stormy it seems te be! Don't forget to visit the coffee plantation. The town of Monteverde is'nt big, so in two days you might have seen it all, though the nature surely offers food for... More

Of all tne places we stayed in Costa Rica this was the worst. Unlike La Predara in Los Fortunas, the restaurant here was closed, and you had to walk into town, drive or take a cab for food. There are no phones in the rooms . That was concerning because the friend I was traveling with had an aggressive cancer,... More
