This is a quiet, very clean and private hotel right in the heart of town. We loved our simple, elegant cabin surrounded by gardens. The breakfast buffet was the best we had during our whole trip: a variety of breads, homemade jams, fresh squeezed juices, eggs made to order, local cheeses, etc. comfy beds, classy bathroom, cozy too.

This place was so cute! It is hidden behind all these beautiful trees in town. You would never even know you were near a lot of cars because it's so quite. John at reception was very friendly and helpful, he booked all our reservations. The buffet breakfast was delicious and our room was very clean. It was a great pick... More

We just returned from Costa Rica and loved our stay in Monteverde at the Hotel Arco Iris. We had a lovely cabin with 2 bedrooms for my husband and I, and our two teen sons. I really enjoyed sitting on the peaceful porch reading my book amidst the green setting. The location could not be beat-- even though it feels... More

I traveled to Monteverde with my husband and 2 teens. We choose Arco Iris for it's exceptional location, just a 5 minute walk to restaurants, but with a feeling of being in the country. The rooms were beautiful (rustic elegance). Each one seemed to be it's own cabin. Ours had a front room and two bedrooms. The breakfast each morning... More

Situated up on the hillside right off the main street of Santa Elena, the small cabins and houses are secluded and beautifully landscaped. We (4 adults and 2 boys) rented the two bedroom house, which has a small kitchen and a porch overlooking town. The tress in front of us were regularly visited by parrots and parakeets, and blue motmots... More

This was a welcome sight after a torrential rain, crossing lake Arenal and a slippery van trip to Monteverde. We were a party of 9 requiring 4 rooms. The front desk gave us a unit with rooms, 2 up 2 down and that was perfect for us. We hung out wet clothes and papers and took off for more adventures.... More

The lodge was pretty empty when we stayed here & we had a superior room right at the entrance & across from the hostel that shares the road up to the properties . PROs:1) spacious for 2 - loft above is separate room if you wanted; bathroom updated; fridge in room; nice shared porch; 2) location right in small town... More

We stayed at the Arco Iris vacation home in Las Cañitas, 2 miles from the actual lodge. What an awesome home this was. Fully equipped, a lot of space, everything was top quality. We did have breakfast at the lodge every day - homemade bread, jellies, fun little pancakes... A feast very day. John at the reception desk was extremely... More

The cabin's here are quite a decent size, with space between them. The upstairs cabins seemed fairly quiet as I only heard people once.Beds were reasonable comfortable, white clean linens.Large showers, no bathtubs. Although I liked the grounds none of us ate the breakfast, which was a reasonable price, but lacked choice, and I hate to say the coffee is the... More

Beautiful setting in Santa Elena. Front desk staff friendly and helpful. We stayed in #12 which was at the top of the hill thru the gardens, adjacent to the field where the white horses grazed. Convenient location to walk to restaurants in town. Breakfast room great for watching monkeys!
