Spent two nights here with a seven-person tour group. Ate all our meals in the dining room. Set in the side of a steep hill, but with steps and meandering paths that make walking the grounds a little easier. Beautiful valley views out the back window of the rooms. Nice facility -- reception, dining area, and rooms all clean and... More

We had wonderful 4 day stay at the hotel. We had made a reservation at another hotel that shall remain nameless, but is very highly rated on trip advisor. We both found other place quite depressing. We called the Hotel Montana Monteverde not knowing what to expect. We arrived there a few minutes later and it was like arriving in... More

Upon first entering this hotel we were slightly disappointed, while the lobby is well appointed, there is no pool (an issue when travelling with a 7 year old) and no wifi in the room, a real issue for somebody like myself who needs to be constantly connected. The service of the hotel staff quickly removed any concerns. Throughout our three... More

Very nice place to stay. Accommodations were very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was very good, too. Views from the room and the restaurant were terrific. Staff were friendly and helpful. Would certainly stay here again! Parents with adult children ages 19 & 22. We all liked our stay! Really enjoyed the rocking chairs on the deck off of the restaurant.... More

If you're looking for a 5 star hotel with tons of amenities this might not be the place for you, but we found it clean and comfortable with gorgeous views and a friendly host at the front desk (unfortunately I do not recall his name). The bathroom has a skylight in the window and a giant tub, which is a... More

Stayed here for two nights whilst on a tour of Costa Rica. The hotel was adequate for my needs but wasn't the best one I had stayed at on this tour. The hotel is spread oout across a number of buildings resulting in some excellent views especiaaly if you are on the edge like I was. The downside to this... More

if you want a hotel with a view... there is none better! but it comes at a price. when we asked where the nature walk was we were sent down the wrong path. we ended up at the pond but also found their rubbish dump... that path needs to be shut to the public and they should be ashamed of... More

This hotel took us almost 41/2 hours of driving with a GPS, to get there. We still had to stop and ask for directions the GPS took us down dirt roads and into a very poor run down part of town. and announced we had reached our destination. The hotel was okay, it had lovely views, but not much else.... More

The view was great, breakfast was decent, and the staff were incredibly helpful but the "gardens" and walkways were poorly marked, the room semi-clean, and WIFI unavailable in the rooms. The shower was touchy and the temperature in the rooms were not comfortable at night - no way to regulate it. The private balcony and view were the highlights.
