Stayed here for two nights based on trip advisor reviews. Hotel grounds were nice, with the rooms at the bottom of a hill. Wi-Fi was weak in the rooms and I had to go the lobby to get a strong signal for uploading photos, but that's a small complaint. Room was large and had a balcony with an excellent view.... More

We booked this hotel because there was a deal on hotels.com. We did not expect anything fancy but when we arrived we were very impressed. Receptionist was very kind and since we only had two days in Monteverde made recommendations on the best zip line tour in town and booked it right away. When we walked into the room we... More

We spent three nights here. The price was very good. The room was wonderful, clean and spacious. The view was fantastic. The place was very quiet and you wake in the morning to the sounds of the forest. We woke up one morning to view a pair of toucans in the tree by our room. The food was fabulous. The... More

great views, great location, and very nice and clean spacious rooms are definitely the major appeal of this place. For those who wrote bad or mediocre reviews about this very unobtrusive place, I will say only one thing : my room was 50 bucks a night !!!! with a great shower, large terrace and awesome views !!!! Breakfast was included,... More

This is a beautiful hotel. I loved the cabin type rooms and the night views are spectacular. I enjoyed the fresh juices at the meals. Delicious. There was nothing better than coffee on the lodge balcony in the mornings. The hummingbirds were busy and the view amazing. Great location.

Rooms all face the Golfo de Nicoya with an uninterrupted blue sky view. I was with a 9-person tour group that stayed 2 nights. All meals were good family style and some buffet style. Wifi available only in lobby, was adequate. Staff was pleasant and helpful. Comfortable bed and great sleeping because of wonderful breezes. Very clean large rooms, giant... More

I agree - beautiful views, nice room in terms of having a view & cleanliness. Unhelpful staff- couldn't get a cup of coffee or even hot water in the evening without feeling like we were asking for the moon, and nothing in the rooms to make hot water like at both other CR hotels we've been at on this trip.... We had a very pleasant stay at Hotel Montana Monteverde. My partner and I spent two days here after being away from Monteverde for four years. It was nice to return to this beautiful community in the cloud forest of Costa Rica. Before booking our stay I checked reviews on TripAdvisor. Finding positive reviews we booked. The evening before our... More

Spent two nights here with a seven-person tour group. Ate all our meals in the dining room. Set in the side of a steep hill, but with steps and meandering paths that make walking the grounds a little easier. Beautiful valley views out the back window of the rooms. Nice facility -- reception, dining area, and rooms all clean and... More

We had wonderful 4 day stay at the hotel. We had made a reservation at another hotel that shall remain nameless, but is very highly rated on trip advisor. We both found other place quite depressing. We called the Hotel Montana Monteverde not knowing what to expect. We arrived there a few minutes later and it was like arriving in... More
