We spent three nights here while visiting the area. We had a private room with double bed & two bunkbeds, so we used the bunkbeds for storing luggage. The rooms are nice, with a small place to hang a few things as well as shelves for clothes. The bathroom also has shelves for your toiletries. The BEST thing, for me,... More

I was a bit wary of using a hostel as I am older & need peace & space but this place was great. My husband & I had a private room with loads of space, the staff were really friendly & the communal kitchen is a great amenity. It's a good location for the national park & the town is... More

We already travelled a lot but have to say that our stay at Yorle's Sloth Hostel was the best we've ever had. The room was spacious, quiet with warm water shower. The breakfast was super ( fruits plus a choice of 4 egg/ gallo pinto based selections, fresh juice, coffee). Especially Yorle works the entire day to ensure all of... More

I was very impressed by the dorms at Sloth Backpackers. The hotel is outfitted with sloth pillows, blankets, and even sloth toilet seat covers. I was happy to find towels and soap included in the dorm. The staff helped us to schedule tours and buses to the parks. The included breakfast surpassed my expectations, with toast, pancakes, and omelet, and... More

we had a wonderful stay here. The room was clean and comfy, as was the bathroom. We had some problems working the shower though the roomkeeping lady quickly fixed it for us. Yorle was very helpful recommending attractions and booking tours in the area. I would recommedn paying in dollars as this seemed to give you a better value (they... More

Was only there for a short time but the staff were incredibly helpful and lovely and helped us organise tours and transfers. The rooms are simple but great and te hostel is in the middle of the town near restaurants and supermarket.

The rooms itself are simple but ok and looking at the price giving good value for your money. The staff helps you organizing your trips and a homemade breakfast is included. Recommendable place to stay during your trip to Monteverde.

This is a very nice place to stay. The owner, Yorle, gives you information about the area. Breakfast is included (eggs, toast, fruit, pancake, juice and coffee). At the breakfast table you meet the other people in the hotel, so there are a lot of conversations there. And finally, the rooms are good, the beds are great and the shower... More

We stayed 27-31 Dec 2014. It was the best friendly comfortable bright double room with Hot showers we stayed in all of Costa Rica. The breakfast included was lovely and the lady worked very hard in the mornings. All the staff were friendly and the trips were booked through them which the Zip Line and the National Park were brill.... More

We spent 3 nights here and enjoyed our stay. Our double room had a double bed and bunk beds, a fridge, a shelving unit for your stuff, and even a clock radio. There was a tv with a number of English channels. The best equipped hostel I've been to! The ensuite bathroom is a decent size and the shower has... More
