I booked this trip back in February for a group of us, but we didn't travel until June. A couple of us upgraded to the mystic Forrest room, but our other friends booked the monteverde room. When we arrived we were told that a now fired staff member messed up on our reservation, and they did not have the mystic... More

This place is amazing! Anyone who comes to Monteverde should experience the beautiful and peaceful rainforest lodging. Sergio is extremely hospitable and will take you on an awesome night hike to see the wildlife of Costa Rica. He is a biologist by training and incredibly knowledgable. You will be in good hands!

We absolutely loved it. We stay another night than we planned. Clean rooms, I felt safe. Sergio, a worker there walked us to a restaurant that was cheap, he was also a very dedicated biologist who was super personable and coordinated night hikes. He made us feel welcomed very quickly. Stay here!

We were travelling around Costa Rica & we stopped here in July for 2 nights. It was really quiet, nice, clean place to stay.. But beware of the hidden costs. The breakfast cost $5 & when you take the zip line you have to pay $10 more to do the Super man..

We stayed there only 2 days during our trip, but it was the most amazing 2 days of our trip!!! Everyone there is wonderfull, especially Sergio! He knows how to make you fall in love with the forest! The Hostel is very well situated, very clean and calm. For sure, I will return there as soon as possible!

Wonderful hostel located near town and also right in the forest. Beautiful buildings and very well maintained. The host is a biologist. He is extremely nice, helpful, and bilingual. The hot showers were a plus for us during our stay. The beds are very comfortable. Make sure to stay here if you go to Monteverde!

We have been There for two nights and we have met an amazing guy call Sergio wich is a passionate biologist. The room was clean, very nice and big. The only thing about the room is that it was very cold at night and there was no heathing system. The wifi was not working but it was the case in... More

I cannot say enough about how AMAZING my stay at Monteverde Hostel Lodge was. I fed bananas to wild monkeys on a suspension bridge five feet from my room. Need I say more? The rooms are new & legit, they have hot water!, the reception area is charming. The chair/hammocks outside your room are the perfect spot for relaxing and... More

If you want to see wildlife from the comfort of your hotel balcony, stay here. I would never stay anywhere else if I went back. It is the only hotel that is right in the middle of the rainforest. We saw monkeys 2-3 times a day. You cross a suspension bridge to get to your room. Each room has a... More

The Monteverde Hostel Lodge was one of my best experiences in Costa Rica. I was able to feed monkeys in the morning and then hike in the rainforest at night. The staff was extraordinary and I spent much time in the lobby with the manager, Sergio. The walk to the rooms alone was beautiful across the suspension bridge. Make sure... More
