I stayed in Monteverde for two nights and I met some of the most amazing people here at this hostel who I ended up traveling with for the month of my trip. The beds were comfy and the scenery was amazing - so beautiful! The kitchen is massive and the bar and community lounge is quite pretty and cozy. The... More

We slept in this hostel for 2 nights and we had definitely a great time spent there. The rooms are big, cleaned, really nice and comfortable. The owner Sergio is a friendly e funny guy, he likes to socialize as soon as you enter the hostel the first time. He is also helpful for any kind on necessity, and he... More

I spent 5 nights at this beautiful Hostel in the heart of Santa Elena. By far the best place to stay in the entire town. Centralized location with great restaurants, grocery store, and bank within walking distance. The lodge is located in the middle of a beautiful forest and offers night hikes, an enormous community kitchen with access to wi-fi... More

Monteverde is the Cloud Forrest of Costa Rica and this hostel is right in the forrest...the rooms are all their own individual cabins...throughout my whole trip i stayed in all single rooms and this was by far the best...queen or king size bed with really cozy blankets and right in the... The dorms were very clean, the beds were comfortable, and the shower was hot. They also have a pretty good community area with two kitchens and a fully stocked bar. The hostel is also is in a very nice location. You are walking distance to many places. The best part about this place is Sergio. He is more then happy... More

We stayed in a private room (nr 18) with great view and a sloth just in front of the house. Sergio, the host, and also researcher of almost all living things there, was more than enthusiastic about the wildlife in the surrounding area. We took a nightwalk with him and found interesting creatures like tarantula's, owls, actually moving sloths, scorpion... More

The hostel was great but my friend left her kindle under her pillow, rang first thing that morning and they claimed nothing was found. Ruined what was otherwise a lovely stay :) It was also quite expensive.

I stayed in a private room/cabin for a couple of nights and it was excellent. The room was very clean and comfortable; the rain falling on the tin roof accompanied by crickets and frogs was the greatest sound to sleep to. This place is literally in the forest and a 3-5 minute walk to stores and town. I ran in... More

Monteverde Hostel Lodge is a hidden jem! What's neat about this place is it's hidden beneath the main street in a semi-wooded area. It looks like the hostel is a wooden cabin! The front area is very clean and spread out with plenty of seating to relax. There's a bar area with a big screen TV to watch games or... More
