I thought the value at Camino Verde was very good. The room we stayed in was clean and quiet--very quaint. The breakfast was wonderful, made to order like a restaurant--not a buffet and Ballesca, the 10-year old, was a charming hostess. I couldn't have asked for a better stay, and for the price, it was great!

We stayed at the Camino Verde for four nights in late April, 2012. We had a room with a private bath(other rooms share a bath). Jose, the manager, was extremely helpful. Camino Verde is clean and basic. We did change rooms after two days because there was a bit of a sewer odor in our room which was located next... More

My family and I stayed at Camino Verde B&B for,the second time in March and can highly recommend it without reservation. The rooms are simple but clean, the location is good--quiet and convenient, the breakfast was plentiful. What made Camino Verde stand out for use was the manager, Jose. He was always available and booked us with tours and transportation willingly... More

We booked a last minute room here at Camino Verde, and were really glad we did! Andres was SO helpful and helped us book all of our adventures in Monteverde and Arenal. We are very glad we stayed here and got to experience this beautiful mountain town!

I have to say, the place was very clean, the staff was friendly, the breakfast (pancakes) where a good way to start the day. But at the other hand next to or room there was a lot of rubish and it was very windy. We really could feel and espacially hear the wind (and the rubish moving) Luckely we had... More

I have good news, we have been trying to buy our neighbor property for almost a year now. And last week Andres finally was able to buy it! =) Next week we start cleaning the property and making a nice seating area with humming bird feeders. I´m so sorry for that problem, Before that there was a small insect museum.... More

They were warm but not intrusive, flexible, but on time, really a pleasure to deal with. Breakfast is wonderful to start a full day. Very convenient location without a car. Jose was so helpful to make arrangements for tours and transport. Safe for a female traveling alone.

Our stay here was amazing. The staff were wonderfully efficient and helpful, the facilities are excellent, especially considering the price. They also serve a delicious breakfast!

We stayed for a few nights in November. There weren't too many people staying there at the time so Andres let us have our choice of rooms. It's a little difficult to find, but it's in a pretty good location, not far from "downtown." The breakfast was made to order and was ok. A pretty good value overall.

The place has a relaxed friendly atmosphere; it provides good basic accommodation in the style of a hostel, the room I had a double and bunk bed with a bathroom with an electric shower that just about managed a stream of warmish water. It is well located; the amenities of Santa Elena were easy to access; there is a Soda... More

This hostel was not bad..average is a good word to describe. The room was basic and did have hot water. The walls were super thin so noises did travel. It was close to town which was good, walked there in about 7 minutes. The front desk man was helpful but it did feel like it was sales at time rather... More

The building was in fact once the owner's family home which gave inspiration to this 'Tica House' designed hotel. The B&B is situated a 5 minute walk from the town centre of Santa Elena, but is far enough away for it to be quiet and have more rural surroundings. This is the perfect option for those who crave the quiet side of the countryside but who require the amenities provided in a town.
