We stayed in this family-run B&B for 2 nights and really recommend it.
The rooms are basic, but have a good warm water shower. We were happy with the comfy mattress, no foam but springs!
The staff was extremely helpful. They run a booking agency for all tours in town and they went to en enormous amount of trouble to get us a really good deal on a rental car, which the rental company drove in from San Jose.
The next door restaurant serves the best casados in Costa Rica and is really cheap...there's always loads of people there; locals and tourist alike.
The B&B has both double rooms and dorms, but is quiet. You can hear the club down the street though, but earplugs gave us a good night sleep afterall.
All in all, for 20 dollars, this is the best hotel we stayed in during our trip. more
