From the moment I booked my room with Hotels.com, I immediately received a personalized email from Jose (Camino Verde Hotel Manager) welcoming us, wishing us safe travels from the US and offered a list to different websites for tours and transportation. I had plenty of questions to ask and he expeditiously responded with great information. After a few nights at... More

Myself and two friends stayed here for two nights in August 2014. Managers Jose and Andre are so kind and helpful; we felt at home the moment we walked in. The lobby/kitchen area is spacious with multiple tables/chairs, a bathroom, small kitchen with 2 fridges, sink, cupboards, etc. Tea and coffee are complimentary at any time of day (a HUGE... More

Great location in the heart of Monteverde, clean rooms, helpful/kind staff, yummy breakfasts, and most importantly, awesome travelers from all over! Highly recommend tours offered here, esp horseback riding with Martin and Aventura zip lining.

Myself and a friend recently spent two evenings in this lovely establishment and I must say that it was a highlight of the trip. The atmosphere was engaging, the room was lovely and the staff was patient and so very kind. Thank to Camino Verde for being a part of a very special trip!

Breakfasts (included) were delicious! Room: Double room with private bath, plenty of space and clean. Warm showers. Facilities: Cozy like a ski lodge, perfect after long hikes in Monteverde. Free coffee and tea are also very nice. Kitchen has everything you need. Location: 15-20 minutes to both parks (roads are bumpy) Staff: Really helpful and there if you need anything.... More

Nice quiet little guesthouse just a short stroll from the small centre of Monteverde. Rooms are basic but fairly comfortable, breakfast is delicious and coffee on tap is a nice touch. There isn't much of a social element to the place as there is no real common area. The highlight is the tours they provide through Sergio, he organised everything... More

This place was the highlight of our trip. Camino Verde was the first place we stayed at in Costa Rica and nothing else compared! It was quiet, relaxing and comfortable. The entire staff is warm and welcoming. Jose was incredible and took care of all our bookings, advice and made our days spent in Monteverde stress-free and fun.The facilities were... More

Camino Verde is more of a family-run hotel than a true B&B, and we ended up staying in the facilities across the street rather than the main facility. We had a little trouble finding it at first because some signs had been knocked down by a car accident, and it's slightly outside the main loop for downtown Santa Elena (but... More

I stayed 2 or 3 nights at Camino Verde. The rooms were clean and comfortable. They were a bit small, but every place after that in Costa Rica got smaller and smaller. It was by far the best place I stayed at. The staff was great and helpful (and even dried my clothes in the dryer for me after a... More

We were warmly welcomed by a friendly email prior to arrival from Camino Verde with info, tips, and attractions nearby. On arrival, we were warmly greeted in person. Our room was excellent, it was very spacious for our family of four. Our breakfast was delicious. We had a great time. Totally recommend this place to everyone.

300 mtrs downhill from Bar Amigos across the Church in downtown, or 300 Mtrs Southwest From SuperCompro Supermarket. Across from the church you will find an entrance, follow that entrance pass Bar Amigos, straight down the dirt road for 300m. Camino Verde B&B is a "Bed and Breakfast" style lodging opened in 2009 and located on the edge of Santa Elena. The B&B is laid out in the style of a family house and guests are encouraged to treat it as their home. The building was in fact once the owner's family home which gave inspiration to this 'Tica House' designed hotel. The B&B is situated a 5 minute walk from the town centre of Santa Elena, but is far enough away for it to be quiet and have more rural surroundings. This is the perfect option for those who crave the quiet side of the countryside but who require the amenities provided in a town. FACILITIES: Camino Verde B&B comprises private rooms which sleep 2 to 4 guests. Four of the rooms have shared bathroom facilities and the rest are en suite. For the rooms with private bathroom the prices are $25 for one person, $35 for a double, triple $45 and quadruple $55. Rooms with shared bathroom costs $15 for a single and $25 for a double. All prices include breakfast and tax. ... more   less
