We stayed 2 nights at Camino Verde B&B with our 2 teenage children and found this to be a perfect little place to stay. The rooms are small but we comfortably fit 4 people in a room with a double bed and bunkbeds. The B&B is nothing fancy but has a great common area where people hang out (with a... More

My sister and I stayed here our first two nights in Costa Rica. What a great experience for the price! The rooms are a little small and nothing fancy, but we weren't in there often because there are so many activities to do in the area. The rooms are clean and fresh towels are available. The common spaces are pretty... More

My girlfriend and I moved around quite a bit while in Monteverde, and we were very glad that we chose to pass through Camino Verde! The lobby is very inviting and communal, we stayed up late for a few drinks while playing Jenga and watching VH1 hits! Our favorite part of our stay here was breakfast in the morning -... More

More hostel than hotel. If traveling with a group and looking for a cheap place to stay it may be ok. However, paying for a room for one person was definitely not worth it. Moreover, the room shown when booking was not the room I received. I went two days without a working toilet. The town is small so the... More

We spent 2 nights at Camino Verde. It is a unique blend of a BnB and a Hostel. It has the desired level of privacy you want from a hotel/BnB but it also has the free spirit of a Hostel. To top it off, our host Jose was one of the best I have ever had. We are zero Spanish... More

We spent 4 days in monteverde , and no doubt , the best part about it (besides the amazing cloud forest) was the time we spent in Camino Verde b&b. The crew was very very friendly and helpful, and helped us with everything we needed. Don't miss out on this awesome place

It was a wonderful stay at Camino Verde in June. Jose and Andres are both very welcoming and friendly. Jose knows the travel business around so well that any arrangement is always just an easy click to him. For some reasons, we did need many ad hoc changes in our pre-arranged tours and transportation. Jose was so patient and accommodating... More

This place was the first hostel in stayed in Costa Rica. It was me the true feel of pura Vida. So relaxing and beautiful setting. The staff are awesone . Andres the manager helped me plan my whole trip giving me expert opinion on the regions and things I wanted to do. He is a graduate in the tourism field... More

We very much enjoyed our stay at this B&B. This hotel has the privacy of a hotel, with some of the amenities of a hostel. There is a kitchen where you can cook meals in the evening and there is a fridge to stash food. They serve wine by the glass for a very reasonable price. The room was comfortable,... More

We enjoyed our stay at Camino Verde. Our room was very clean and breakfast was delicious each morning. Jose was super friendly offering advice and booking tours. The hotel is located on the main paved road through Santa Elena, as are most of the other B and B's and it gets rather noisy with the motorbikes racing at night. They... More

300 mtrs downhill from Bar Amigos across the Church in downtown, or 300 Mtrs Southwest From SuperCompro Supermarket. Across from the church you will find an entrance, follow that entrance pass Bar Amigos, straight down the dirt road for 300m. (We are right next to Tinas Casitas) We are almost the last lodging on that road, we are between a small mini market called ” Las Orquideas” and a small restaurant called la ” La Amistad” We now have UNLIMITED FREE CALLS to the U.S.A and cheap calls to the rest of the world. Camino Verde B&B is a "Bed and Breakfast" style lodging opened in 2009 and located on the edge of Santa Elena. The B&B is laid out in the style of a family house and guests are encouraged to treat it as their home. The building was in fact once the owner's family home which gave inspiration to this 'Tica House' designed hotel. The B&B is situated a 5 minute walk from the town centre of Santa Elena, but is far enough away for it to be quiet and have more rural surroundings. This is the perfect option for those who crave the quiet side of the countryside but who require the amenities provided in a town. FACILITIES: Camino Verde B&B comprises private rooms which sleep 2 to 4 guests. Four of the rooms have shared bathroom facilities and the rest are en suite. For the rooms with private bathroom the prices are $25 for one person, $35 for a double, triple $45 and quadruple $55. Rooms with shared bathroom costs $15 for a single and $25 for a double. All prices include breakfast and tax. ... more   less
