Camino Verde Bed & Breakfast Monteverde

2.5 of 5
300 mtrs downhill from Bar Amigos across the Church in downtown, or 300 Mtrs Southwest From SuperCompro Supermarket | Across from the church you will find an entrance, follow that entrance pass Bar Amigos, straight down the dirt road for 300m. (We are right next to Tinas Casitas) We are almost the last lodging on that road, we are between a small mini market called ” Las Orquideas” and a small restaurant called la ” La Amistad”, Santa Elena, Monteverde, Costa Rica

Wow, this place is excellent overall. Andres & his family go above and beyond to make you feel comfortable and welcome. This is genuine hospitality. The rooms are good value, very clean and have everything you need. The view is spectacular. Location is perfect (quiet, away from town but easy walking distance). The kitchen for guest's use is big and... More

I had a great time there even though we only stayed one night. The owner was very helpful and friendly. He helped set everything up for our travels and spent a lot of time talking to him even after we checked out. The breakfast was good and the room was clean! Excellent service and I would recommend this place. More

We arrived at Camino Verde for a 3 night stay beginning Feb 11. and were greeted by Evert (Andres' brother). After a hairy bus ride in, he checked us in with a laid back openness and welcoming spirit that I came to understand can only come from the Costa Rican people. Evert was great, recommending some outstanding tours and activities... More

I want to say that the service at Camino Verde is top-notch. The place is run by a family and it shows--lots of warmth and concern for each and every guest. Andres at the reception desk is your go-to guy for scheduling birdwatching trips or tours of any kind, He is also extremely helpful navigating town and being a good... More

This hostel/B&B is the perfect place to stay for budget travellers and those with bigger budgets. Andres, the host, is a top guy and speaks perfect English and goes out of his way to help you enjoy your stay in Santa Helena. All of his recommendations turned out to be inspired choices. Breakfasts were well worth the extra few dollars... More

Andres is an excellent host, knows Monteverde well, and freely shares great info. The rooms are clean and have excellent views. The breakfast is great. Lots of wind outside the rooms, which does bother some people, but we thought it was incredible. Our *only* complaint is that the hot water was out in the morning. I think it's best to... More

Hey savvy travelers, look no further... this is the place to stay when you are in Santa Elena. Managed by the gracious owner Andres and his family, Camino Verde B&B is a true Monteverde destination in itself. Traveling on a college student budget, my friend and I got an amazing deal for a well kept and very cozy twin private... More

As said by other reviewers, Andres, the owner, does a great job. He took much time to help us planning our trip and booked some excellent tours for us! Andres knows what he's talking about. Great! Our room was fine and clean. Only downside was that it was a bit noisy; lots of wind blowing during night and we were... More

My wife and I stayed 3 nights here and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Andres and his brother Everett are very helpful hosts and gave us lots of good advice for our trips and we were able to arrange all our trips (including pickup) through Andres. The room was clean and quiet and the shared kitchen very useful. Breakfasts featured the... More
