I stayed here with my husband and three friends. We all had a great stay. My husband and I were in a four bed dorm and the other three in a six bed dorm. The showers were hot which was amazing as it's incredibly cold in Santa Elena. Breakfast which was included was amazing, a great selection. Wifi worked really... More

Stayed in the private room upstairs at the Monteverde Backpackers. The room was basic but clean and secure! They had hangers/closet which was a huge plus for me after living out of a backpack. Wind storm made for a LOUD sleepless night, but that wasnt to the fault of the hostel. No good reviews from me for breakfast though. The... More

We enjoyed this place .. Although we switched hostels after a night to our first choice . Positives : amazing hot showers! I was in heaven ! The water pressure was so great . The dorms only have 3 bunks in them so not too crowded . Clean kitchen Negatives : only one outlet in dorm room . Dorms are... More

There were cheaper hostels in monteverde, but I wanted to check this one out because I had a friend staying there. Once me and my boyfriend saw the room, we didn't mind paying more, because the room was so cute and romantic, in wood, it was small but cozy, and very friendly staff :)

We stayed here for two nights... Monteverde/Santa Elena is a quaint little town but is filled with locals that run the restaurants and stores and then the tourists who fill them. The people who worked at the hostel were extremely nice. Sleeping conditions were ok (We stayed in a 4 person dorm)... Nothing special, but it's worth the price.

I stayed with my girlfriend in the dorm and had a great time. It has a good location, staff was friendly and we met some cool people. It is pretty cold in Monteverde compared to other parts of the country, so make sure you bring a longsleeve or even better a hoodie

Coming here from two much larger hostels, it was a big change, but I ended up loving it. Definitely cozy, but not cramped. Very conveniently located, practically in-town. Monteverde Extremo tours will pick you up right from the front door.

I stayed here in a dorm, rooms were pretty standard like most hostel dorms. The bathrooms weren't looking super hygienic, but this could be more down to other guests than the hostel. Common facilities however were pretty gross, the kitchen in particular could do with a seriously intense cleaning, really put me off using it. The fridge was also pretty... More

Hi, First thanks for the review. Second, is pretty hard for some people to understand what a hostel is, some people come and pay $10 per night and want to have a 5 stars things. Lets clear this up, hostel has a kitchen, and the only people that use the kitchet are our customers, we clean always the kitchen, but... More
