We recently stayed at the Frangipiani Tree and had a wonderful time. Most rooms face onto the sea which is great as you have the constant noise of the waves. The pool is perfect. The staff are very accommodating and attentive. It was a great place to underwind!

Stayed here in March as a couple (ocean front room/lower level). Amazing place, we both loved the design (by a well known architect) which was minimalist with clean lines that framed the beautiful location well. Bedroom: Very large and simple. Bed was very hard (which i didn't mind at all but definitely not as plush as some hotels). Lovely polished... More

I write, having reserved a room for Christmas. The process to get a room was torturous and time consuming. Finally, we got confirmation. Just now, I have just received an email from them telling me that they have released our room and given it to someone else because they haven't received the deposit. I made several efforts to pay and... More

Great small boutique hotel with only 9 rooms. Great service (we were the only people staying during our 4 day trip) The staff are very friendly and attentive. The location is 5 minutes from Unawatuna and 15 minute from Galle, we hired scooters (the hotel arranged these) and explored easily with them. The beach is not for swimming as the... More

My wife and I are from Canada. We are well traveled this however was our first adventure in SE Asia. And it was our honeymoon. We spent three weeks in Sri Lanka, two of which we bless-fully chose to be at The Frangipani Tree during April. Booking was easy, friendly, and handled accurately. We got the room we asked for... My husband and I, both in our mid-30s, stayed at the Frangipani Tree in February 2015. We had the most wonderful experience and cannot recommend it enough. The hotel is a beautiful mix of modern and traditional architecture and the room was a cool and comfortable retreat from the hot Sri Lanka sun. We used the pool almost every day... More

Amazing spot with beautiful garden, charming decoration, huge bedrooms with exotic outside bathroom, turtles swiming at the bottom of the hotel, wonderfull sunsets. Love this place !!! Highly recommended. We would only suggest the hotel to revise the menu by proposing more meals (meat for example) and to impove the cocktails.

This small boutique resort will impress all that care to visit. The rooms and villas are comfortable and peaceful. The lapping of the sea at your doorstep will put you to sleep at night. The views from Room 1 and 2 are spectacular. As I shower in the morning I watch the waves crashing in over the reef. The food... More

Intimate, private place. Very relaxing, gorgeous views and walks. Definitely for you who likes hotels with few rooms. We stayed at the Hawksbill One- the best room, bathroom is simply divine, biggest I have ever been (garden in the bathroom). Before arriving - Most of times prompt correspondence, questions answered, SMS and phone works the best. Justyna- thank you. Room-... More
