feels like sleeping in the jungle, Yet with beach on a 1 minute crawl. The villa is very large and clean. Staff is extroardinarily friendly, offering us tea every time we came 'home' and speaks good English. There are 3 dogs to protect the house but they're too sweet to be tough and just relax around the house. Western breakfast... More

Great little place with 4 rooms. Lovely garden and sitting area just outside the room. The owner was nice enough to upgrade us to a bigger room. Located just opposite the beach and having everything we required near by. Good breakfast every morning. Very clean place. We had a free hand to use the kitchen when required and it felt... More

It was a good hotel and the staff was very friendly. The breakfast in the morning by the garden was very nice. You can walk to the beach but it takes a bit. The only thing we didn't like from the room was that even though you have a bathroom, there are no walls that separates it from the room,... More

We had a really great 9 day stay at this beautiful villa! Our children were overwhelmed when they had the opportunity to feed the monkeys in the garden with bananas. The rooms were fantastic; pleasant with earthy colours, at least 8 meters to the ceiling, open sky in the large shower area, wonderful and romantic beds and furniture etc. The... More

The visit did not start off well. I was driving, and Ajith (the owner) gave me wrong directions, so I ended up in Galle town, not at Unawatuna. The narrow road to the temple has a faded sign, so finding that road wasn’t easy. I had to park my car squeezed on this narrow road, as Hibiscus Villa does not... More

Hi George - really sorry that the house didn't meet your expectations and that we weren't able to make your stay a more pleasant one. Of course we can't do anything about the Sri Lankan climate unfortunately and the hot weather is a fact of life! The house listing does say quite clearly that we don't have AC or onsite... More

Nice place especially the garden. Breakfast was the best of our trip. Little bit far away from main beach but therefore very quiet. Great hospitality which made in a great stay at Hibiscus Villa. Diving school just a 1min Walk away. 100% recomendAtion.

I would actually give Hibiscus Villa 4.5 stars if possible. but am definitely not giving it 4 stars as it deserves more than that! The gardens are absolutely stunning and we spent a lot of time enjoying cups of tea sitting outside taking in the sheer beauty of the garden. The room was lovely and spacious, although I think one... Something unique for sure. Great place for those who love animals. Dogs, which belongs to owner, wonderful birds, turtles and monkeys which with bit of chance you can feed. Villa is quite open rooms as well so sometimes you can find some insects in your room so better check your bed before go sleep. Also cause villa is open you can... More

The villa was really tasteful and the rooms facing the garden were lovely. It's not in the heart of the Unawatuna strip but that could be a good thing! Wifi throughout but no a/c. The team here were nice and helpful. Would recommend!

The house and the staff was lovely. Relaxing and cool interior, clean and the breakfast (both Sri Lanka style and european) was great. Helpfull and kind staff...miss them :-) The garden is realy nice, lots of birds, one turtle and some curious monkeys.
