Had a nice week at this place. No booking just walked in. It looked good and the rooms are nice and clean, just behind the small beach were you find Divers land Dive Club. Couldn't find them on trip advisor, but I can recommend this Dive club to every one. Small but the best between the big dive clubs. They... More

We stayed here for 2 nights, it was an average stay at best for the price. Rooms are small and very basic. Staff are friendly for the most part. The included breakfast is not as good as others we've had in Sri Lanka (no Sri Lankan option). It's quite a long walk to the main Unawatuna beach via the busy... More

We arrived here with no booking, but managed to negotiate a good deal on a ground-floor room. The white tiled floor was clean and the bed very comfortable. The air-conditioner was the quietest we've ever come across either in Sri Lanka or at home - we were pleasantly surprised. The staff were courteous, friendly and helpful, without being pushy. It... We stayed here for 3 nights and really liked the place. Basic but fits the bill for a mid-range budget. The hotel is a little way from the main centre of the town and the usable patch of beach but I wouldn't say that's much of a negative, it's nice and quiet in the evening and if you take a... More

Unawatuna was hit badly by the tsunami one half of the beach virtually ceased to exist, this place is on the wrong side but the other side is only 200m. away, nonetheless there is a difference.Cool, tiled, standard room with mosquito net, shower etc. As per usual, no fridge, no TV or what was probably an oversight soap, nice building and gardens.... We had a sublime stay here at the Beach Bungalow. We stumbled across it when shifting from another guesthouse and planned to stay one night - we stayed for the rest of our trip! The owner was exceptionally kind and welcoming and made us feel like part of the family. Our room had a stunning view of the ocean and... More

Cleanest place we stayed, great location and great value. Lovely breakfast and man who cleans and makes the breakfasts does excellent job. A little bit of noise from building in hotel beside but that's not the beach bungalows fault. Lovely view and very comfortable room. Very impressed with the breakfast and cleanliness. Great location too for price.

Great spot, close to everything in Gaulle. Very cozy and right at the beach! Good buffet breakfast/lunch/dinner, friendly staff always tried to be helpful. There is foot rub massage place and rent-a-scooter place attached to UBR. We rented scooters and went all around the city centre, Mrissa beach and other places.

Sabbath and his team of staff look after you really well in this clean close to the beach hotel. Beach is 1 minute away. Top floor rooms have fantastic view of the beach.
