My fiancé, his parents, and I just returned back to Kampala after a on amazing few days at MRL. My fiancé and I brought our own tent and camped at their campsite that had covered space (we set up our tent without getting soaked by the rain) as well as a firepit. My fiance's parents stayed in a lovely cottage... More

We stayed here during the solar eclipse at the end of 2013. We started looking for accommodation quite late, and due to a lot of interest in the eclipse both nationally and internationally we found that most accommodations had been booked out well in advance. We contacted Murchison River Lodge to see if we could stay at their lodge or... More

All of us (2 Ugandans and 2 from UK/Australia) would thoroughly recommend this Lodge. We spent three nights there in two of the lodges. We could not fault the provision, the attention by all the very friendly and obliging staff and the location. Even elephants deigned to show themselves on the opposite bank of the river, so we could watch... More

This place was beautiful and a great stay. We took the "long way" in, not going through the national park, but through Bulisa instead. It was a lovely, albeit long, drive though drastic changes in scenery and rural villages. Finally we came to the hotel, an oasis in the middle of nowhere. It's a bit pricy at $130/person, but we... I spent only a night here, as a single traveller. The lodge surroundings are lovely, set right on the river, and the safari tent was lovely. There was no hot water in the shower but I wasn't too bothered by this. Staff were very friendly. Nice pool to cool down and ample spaces to relax and enjoy the surroundings. Cold... More

My 3 nights at MRL were a delight. Have seen this family owned lodge evolve and hats off to the owners for keeping this superbly run lodge a warm, welcoming, friendly and relaxing place to unwind. The home cooked meals are of high quality. The view from the thatched restaurant/bar is just stunning. Comfortable sofas, armchairs and a hammock to chill... More

We had a truly amazing adventure at Murchison River Lodge and all the fabulous amenities within the park. The wildlife goes without saying. The special detail to the thatched tents made for a very comfortable stay, the food was very good and the staff was nothing short of helpful and accommodating. Astri did a terrific job of making us feel... More

We stayed for three nights and enjoyed all the limited time we were actually at the lodge. Most of the time we were off exploring. The cottage was huge with an upstairs and downstairs and an em suite. There were no windows but all the openings were screened and at night we went to sleep to the sounds of hordes... More

We stayed 4 nights at the lodge, and were very pleased with this wonderful place. The lodge is beautifully located on the Nile, spectacular view from the restaurant and bar area, we saw both elephant and hippo from the bar. The foods very good, one dinner not top but definitely not bad at all. Rooms well kept and staff very... More
