An amazon view that intoxicates you. We got there around noon and the staff was very pleasant until we got to the reception part. It's my believe that there was a big misunderstanding between what we were told when we made the reservations by phone and what actually was offered. The reception person perhaps was not at liberty to make... More

The location of Chobe Safari Lodge is probably its prime asset. The view is breathtaking with an abundance of wild life. My best moments included having breakfast on the terrace while watching the hippos in the river below and the elephants and buffaloes that often visited the compound. and sleeping and waking up to the sounds of the river Nile... As others have said, the property and its location are outstanding, and totally unexpected in this fairly isolated area of Uganda. The view of the Nile from the our room, the lobby, the terraces and the restaurant are outstanding. We thought the food was very good, and we had a nice discussion about Uganda with the manager. I had a... More

Chobe Lodge is a stunning property. Views from the dining terrace, pool, room balconies are all amazing. Our experience with the staff was very good. Everyone was very helpful and pleasant. James, the general manager, checked in with us several times each day to see how we were doing and if there was anything we needed. Food for us, was... More

Chobe is a lovely property in a stunning location. The main lodge is quite uninteresting (with some slightly odd animal-print furniture scattered throughout), but the staff are attentive and helpful and views and pool area excellent. The tents (especially the Super Deluxe tents) are simply superb, with brilliant views of the Nile and wildlife (especially hippos) and well worth the... More

I expected so much more from chobe, the staff is so unhelpful, many times they refused to serve room service, it reached a point where they didn't even pick up the phone. The standard rooms don't have a fridge, I feel like this should be explained and stressed to you before you pay for the room, had I known I'd have... More

UGReview, Manager at Chobe Safari Lodge, responded to this review

In response to the review the Management of Chobe Lodge would like to clarify our position as we take allegations of racial profiling very seriously. During December 2013 we were operating at 100% occupancy with no vacant rooms. The majority of guests (97%) who staying with us at the time were Ugandans, many of who had stayed with us before hence... More

We went as a group of 2 families with our children to Chobe safari lodge in October. The place is set up at a beautiful location overlooking Victoria Nile. The standard room were tastefully furnished and we liked the whole feel of it. Food was also good and they catered for vegetarians also .Murchison National Park(Chobe side) as such is... More

From the moment we walked into the lobby until the moment we left we were treated like royalty. Exceptionally beautiful views, great cuisine , luxurious rooms and friendly staff . Only drawback I would say, was the distance to Murchison park.It was about 2 hrs by road. Nevertheless, I would still stay there again.

We were there for the 2nd time with relatives visiting us from UK during christmas time. It was so nice to be back there and live it all over again. The place is nice, like the spa and gym. Also walking around the pathes on nile river bank. Seeing the beautiful nature.
