As I was sitting at a picnic table enjoying a delicious bacon-cheeseburger, a fellow traveler said "look at that hippo!" I turned around, and sure enough a hippo was casually strolling up the path and into the camp; what an awesome experience! We stayed in the bandas, so I cannot speak for the tents. The room was comfortable, although the... More

Red Chilli camp is a great place to stay. The setting is beautiful and the facilities are good. The food takes a while to come but generally is delicious, well priced and good quality. There's a bonfire at night and it's a great place to sit and enjoy the tranquility of the park. The camp is in the middle of... More

Spent 3 nights here last weekend. The staff were so helpful and accommodating as they were fully booked. We camped and also had a banda. Low cost, great value for money and Wilfred and the staff made it seamless and easy. The toilet block needs a bit of work, otherwise a great spot. Watch out for the hippo visits at... More

This is great value for money, as is the “Big 5” 3-day safari booked via Red Chilli Hideaway (Kampala) that includes this accommodation as part of the package. Stayed tent and, travelling alone, had to share. Not much chance of getting one solo, even if you paid for it, because they often seem to be at capacity. Bandas book out,... More

I travelled out as part of a university trip. Travel from Mbale to Murchison Falls and to the Airport provided. Great for a student budget, cheap drinks and food, but it still retained quality. The safari was amazing. We saw a Hippo the first night and Warthogs the second. The staff were very friendly along with many of the other... More

Very basic accommodation , gazibos , tents , camping areas and bandas . All at a very good location , on shores of River Nile. Restaurant is average and has something for everyone. Will come back again . Definately one of the best game parks in Uganda....

The 'Big Six' safari offered by Red Chilli Hideaway is incredibly good value for money, and the Murchison camp is a lovely little place to rest up at night. The staff were much better than that at the Kampala site, and the bandas are very comfortable. Highly recommended.

I give five points beacuse price-quality relation is simply unbeatable. The whole 3-days tour, including transport in a good safari minibus, nice driver, entry fees, game drives and boat launch - the whole for 320 Dollars ? Incredible. I strongly recommend to pay the supplement for the Bandas, which are simple but nice, just what it needs in the wilderness,... More

A bacon and egg toasted sandwich, they can't cook bacon, they can't cook eggs not sure about the toast. The service was awful, waiting staff who don't seem to care, minimum communication with guests that is if they can get away from their mobile phones and chatting to each other while the management was oblivious to it all.

I stayed here while on the Red Chilli Murchison falls safari tour and had a great time. The staff were very helpful and the food was great only downside was the toilet cleanliness but ultimately you are in a national park so what do you expect? Ivan, a member of staff their was excellent and a joy to talk to.... More
