Tutka Bay Lodge offers unbelievable dining, completely personalized service, water-taxi access to the seaside town of Homer, wonderful wildlife and fishing too! It was a perfect mix for my my three grown children, my husband and me--something for all of us. we sea-kayaked, shopped, whale- watched, hiked, dined, shared a family cooking lesson, had wonderful massages, beach-combed and were treated... I recently attended a writers' workshop at Tutka Bay Wilderness Lodge. We took a boat from Homer to the Lodge and the staff met us at the dock. They took our luggage to the pre-assigned rooms while showing us around the beautiful property. The owner is a chef and supervises two other chefs so the food we had was exquisite.... More

My wife and I visited the lodge during a Holland America cruise tour and stayed two nights. We have been many unique places around the world and this location is nearly incomparable. The scenery combined with the food and expert hospitality staff made the stay actually worth the quoted 'spendy' cost. If you are looking for truly spectacular experience why... More

This was the most amazing trip we have ever taken! We were there with our two children, ages 5 and 8, and they are begging every week to go back. We stayed there four days and our kids would have liked to have stayed there our whole Alaskan vacation (me, too, for that matter). We went kayaking every day (seeing... More

“I can’t say enough good things about our visit to the Tutka Bay Lodge. If you’re one for nature and adventure then you MUST plan a trip to this Alaskan getaway. Perfectly secluded (there are only six lodges, so it mostly feels like the whole place is yours) and surrounded by 40,000 acres of protected land – the scene is... More

We stayed here for 3 nights and loved it. Eagles Nest was our room and the view was fabulous, with eagles swooping past the balcony and a lovely warm ambience. Upon arrival at Tutka we were shown over the property, booked our massages and enjoyed a wonderful rockfish lunch. Food is available at any time upon request and is of... More

My husband and I were here this past weekend strictly for the cooking class they offer as it was a Christmas present from his kids. Although we weren't there as overnight guests, we got a tour of the grounds. We were the only two in the cooking class as it was a bit on the shoulder season. This allowed us... More

We were staying at the Tutka Bay Wilderness Lodge with our family with two kids there is only good things we can say about this lodge. Yes - it is certainly not cheap to stay here - but the quality of the service, the guides and of course the cuisine here was just amazing. The cabins are beautifully equipped. You... More

What could be better? Watching a sea otter play in front of the dock, taking hikes to explore the property, boating to a day hike to a glacier (with bear sightings!), gourmet meals.....I'm not kidding....cooking classes, massages, bald eagles everywhere, and the nicest, most fun young staff imaginable! This was truly a special Alasksa getaway. Thanks for such a fabulous... More
