Due to school prize giving I had to change our bookings a couple of times, this was not a problem at all. On arriving we were greeted with lovely home made muffins. My husband and I were based in Cromwell for 3 days. The motel room was lovely and quiet, it overlooked the golf course. We had a morning paper... More

First and lasting impression was standard of cleanliness. Meticulous and Impressive. Our room was quiet and we left ranch slider open as it backed on to flowering roses . Would not hesitate to stay again at this motel. Owners are friendly and helpful.

We stayed two nights at the end of October. We chose Cromwell because of its proximity to several wine sub-regions and this property because of the positive Trip Advisor reviews. Both choices proved to be spot on. Its golf course location gives you quiet and privacy, its kitchen and close proximity to a New World market allows for proper self... More

We had a unit overlooking the golf course. A lovely outlook. We found the unit cramped but quite adequate. We were welcomed by lovely hosts and beautiful muffins. We would rate this as a good 3.5 star motel in a handy location.

We booked at Lake Dunstan Motel in Cromwell just as a passing through accomodation. Wish we could have stayed longer. Rooms were fantastic, very central. Walked to Tavern for great meal. On arrival we were given freshly baked muffins. Amazing!

We can't say enough about this motel. It is the cleanest tidiest place we stayed during a month in NZ. It is unassuming from the outside but a real winner. A quiet location with a nice grassy area to sit and a have a glass of wine and a short walk to the town "mall" for restaurants and shops. Laurel's... More

This motel had everything you could want. It had its own toilet/shower, bedroom with king sized bed, and kitchen with stove, refrigerator and all the cooking equipment you could need. The sliding doors opened out onto a nice grassy area next to the golf course. The motel is just a short walk from the main part of town, but quiet.... More

We (2 couples) had two rooms here for our last night in New Zealand. The location was quiet and next to the golf course. The rooms were clean, the beds comfortable, the managers/owners very friendly; upon our arrival we received homemade muffins for afternoon tea. Free wi-fi and restaurants are within walking distance of the motel. Two thumbs up!

Thanks for the thumbs up - glad you liked our lovely peaceful spot. We think this is a great place to live - surrounded by mountains, a short walk from the lake, next to a golf course and yet close to town. Do come back and see us again soon. More

We had 3 nights in this lovely motel at the beginning of January 2012.At very first glance it may not seem all that special, but it IS! Rooms are very well appointed, the gardens and surrounds are immaculately maintained. No request was too much trouble - the managers were frinedly, approachable and readily availible

We so enjoyed our four night stay at this motel. The back of our unit backed onto the golf course. The open view was lovely. The unit was spacious and very comfortable. Bob and Laurel were great hosts. Can't recommend it more highly.

Thanks very much for your recommendation! We do enjoy meeting people and making sure they have everything they need for an enjoyable stay here. We also love the wide open spaces around us. We enjoy the golf course too (- the Cromwell Club has just spent $1M on course improvements). Maybe we will see you again soon. More
