We view "Trip Adviser" to gauge accommodation especially in unfamiliar towns and it works well. Here we were greeted by cheerful Marianne who showed us to our delightful sunny unit overlooking the golf course. After our long journey warm muffins & cuppa was appreciated. too. The presentation of our unit was immaculate, well heated and with modern appliances incl multi... More

After many days of travelling, we wanted to spend 3 nights in Central Otago region tasting wine, walking, etc. This motel was an excellent place to stay, closer to wineries than Queenstown. Our room had a view on the golf course, very quite. Service was very good. Do not expect fancy furnishing, etc. but expect a good place to stay... More

Stayed here a couple of days ago - what a delight. Unit backed onto the Cromwell Golf Course and was soooo quiet. 2 min walk into Cromwell Mall. Clean and tidy. Great price. Comfy beds. The homemade Muffins on arrival given to us by the friendly owner were a nice touch. Will return for sure for longer next time.

Due to school prize giving I had to change our bookings a couple of times, this was not a problem at all. On arriving we were greeted with lovely home made muffins. My husband and I were based in Cromwell for 3 days. The motel room was lovely and quiet, it overlooked the golf course. We had a morning paper... More

First and lasting impression was standard of cleanliness. Meticulous and Impressive. Our room was quiet and we left ranch slider open as it backed on to flowering roses . Would not hesitate to stay again at this motel. Owners are friendly and helpful.

We stayed two nights at the end of October. We chose Cromwell because of its proximity to several wine sub-regions and this property because of the positive Trip Advisor reviews. Both choices proved to be spot on. Its golf course location gives you quiet and privacy, its kitchen and close proximity to a New World market allows for proper self... More

We had a unit overlooking the golf course. A lovely outlook. We found the unit cramped but quite adequate. We were welcomed by lovely hosts and beautiful muffins. We would rate this as a good 3.5 star motel in a handy location.

We booked at Lake Dunstan Motel in Cromwell just as a passing through accomodation. Wish we could have stayed longer. Rooms were fantastic, very central. Walked to Tavern for great meal. On arrival we were given freshly baked muffins. Amazing!

We can't say enough about this motel. It is the cleanest tidiest place we stayed during a month in NZ. It is unassuming from the outside but a real winner. A quiet location with a nice grassy area to sit and a have a glass of wine and a short walk to the town "mall" for restaurants and shops. Laurel's... More

This motel had everything you could want. It had its own toilet/shower, bedroom with king sized bed, and kitchen with stove, refrigerator and all the cooking equipment you could need. The sliding doors opened out onto a nice grassy area next to the golf course. The motel is just a short walk from the main part of town, but quiet.... More
