Had a great time fishing at the lodge, plenty of wildlife too be seen. Caught plenty of fish ranging from big reefies too barramundi. The guides were very professional and friendly. My highlights would be the big fish caught and the amazing food. The accomodation is cabin style with own verandah very comfortable . I highly recommend a visit.

Myself, Rob and Andrew headed to the lodge for an amazing week of fishing. On arrival we were taken straight out with Mick, a fantastic guy, who put us on to about 20 good size Barra straight away, not including the ones we dropped. Being Mexicans Mick was very patient taking us through the finer points of casting and of... More

The Lodge is on Aboriginal land at Maningrida in remote Arnhemland. We stayed 3 days & nights in late May, 4 people in a quad share deluxe tent/cabin. 4 of us shared a boat. Given the price, if we had caught heaps of fish, it might have been OK, but by all reports, it was very average fishing due to... More

I am just back from 4 magnificent days fishing near Maningrida, staying at the Arnhemland Barramundi Lodge with my two mates, Andrew Maher and Steve Bormann. We had a great time landing many species including barra, threadfin salmon, mangrove jack, black jewfish and golden snapper. We landed around 350 barra with the biggest measuring 95cm caught by Steve on a... More

I have recently returned from my third trip to the lodge in 10 years (Wow...!) and I have to say the experience is as new as it was the first time and memories are always enduring. This is truly a special and unique location to experience the N.T and some truely remote sports fishing destinations. This trip was for my... More

after traveling the world as a cameraman on the Great Outdoors and other shows I can safely say Arnhemland Barra Lodge is a unique experience. I traveled up to Darwin with my 16 year old boy and two other media mates who both have traveled the world from Russia to South American to the Antarctic and now Barra Lodge is... More

This was my second time out at the lodge and has been one of my best experiences even though I fish right around the country. Deluxe accommodation is the way to go and the food, well that's to die for. Remember, this lodge is remote and if your after an remote Australian experience, then this is for you. Dave, the... More

Firstly I have to complement the lodge manager Dave on his fantastic hospitality and organisation of our daily trips. The chef Craig also rates a huge thank you. Our flight out was delayed and we were lucky to have him with us to overcome being left at the airstrip for 6 hours. It's a remote spot and having him available... More

Lodge? No. Upmarket camping, yes. 4 person tents on a built in hard tiled surface with proper ensuites which include great showers. Very well done. The main group area includes a kitchen equipped with an executive chef, ie no cooking required! And a wonderful covered deck/aka outdoor dining area looking over the most spectacular bush scene for as far as... More
