We went here on a lovely warm evening and sat outside to eat, we ordered at the bar, the staff werent over friendly but not particularly welcoming either ...just doing their job. Our meals came and as I had ordered lamb and veg I asked for extra gravy ,,, don't think that was appreciated much and wasn't even offered mint... More

We are so sorry that we did not meet this reviewers expectations. It was a exceptionally busy night and we were a member of staff down due to illness. The comments have been passed to our waiting staff and they will endeavour to try to maintain a high standard in all aspects of customer service. Our lamb shank dish is... More

Me and my partner stayed here on 6th July for a night. We had benn in the highlander hotel along the road the night before and knew we wouldn't stay another night there. We went to the glen hotel for a wee drink on the Saturday afternoon and were welcomed by Chris and Kim in the bar, which was very... More

We stopped off here on the way from Ben Nevis to Glenlivet Estate. From the moment we were greeted by the friendly Publican to the time we left we had excellent, friendly efficient service. The food was superb. I had the steak and ale pie and my wife and daughter had chicken fajitas. All the food was tasty and satisfying.... More

The room was a little crampt, barely enough room to walk between the bed and the chairs. And the double bed was just two singles pushed together with a crack in the middle. The restaurant was pretty good though, with a broad variety from Mexican to Indian, although the breakfast menu was somewhat more limited (good, but pretty much just... More

Thank you for taking time to place your review and we are pleased that you enjoyed your stay with us at The Glen. We are sorry about 'the crack' in the bed - our beds are called 'zip & link' and are quite common in the UK - it gives the flexibility for each room to be a double or... More

I only stopped off for one night but I had visited the Glen once before. Upon arrival I was given a friendly greeting & a comprehensive rundown of the routine. That done my room was a small single but was en suite with tv. The bed was very comfortable and all was clean. Downstairs is the main bar/dining room with... More

Both the bathroom and bedroom (with the exception of the kettle) were very clean. There was a array of refreshments on a tray and clear precise instructions as to how to operate the small flat screen T.V. I dined with the rest of my party in the bar where a large blackboard displayed the menu and featured special dishes. The homemade... More

We are sorry to see that this reviewer has chosen to join her husband/partner and friend in a crusade against The Glen. Please see the reviews below 'Not made welcome' and 'No Hospitality'. it is interesting that six weeks later she has chosen to criticise points neither of the previous reviewers even touched upon? My husband and I stayed here on spec one night in April. The rooms were spacious and clean, the bed was HUGE and very comfortable. Only small criticism was there was no bath. The owner/manager was very helpful letting us know about the area. A nice well stocked bar and delicious breakfast too.

We were passing through and stopped for lunch. This was absolutely lovely! Chunky veg soup and ham sandwiches - lovely thick soup full of a variety of veg and delicious sandwiches on very fresh wholemeal bread served by very pleasant staff member. And a nice touch we noted - late comers arrived 20 minutes after lunch finished but were quickly... More

I was one of the party of three who stayed on 11th March and it is apparent that the management team have watched too much of "Gone with the wind" as ....frankly, they do not give a damn, as witnessed by the reply to the comments by BarnacleScotland, whose comments I support totally. I cannot recommend this hotel and think... More

I don't believe that Trip Advisor is the appropriate platform to get into petty arguments and it is such a pity that this reviewer and his friend did not have the social ability to voice their concerns whilst they were at our establishment. There was plenty of time to do so,especially as I kept the bar open late for this... More
