Excellent food Excellent chat Excellent rooms Excellent atmosphere 'the good life' The hosts grow some of their own vegetables - the breakfast eggs come from individually named hens wandering thier garden, they cook their own amazing food and are very knowledgable - giving excellent advice on what to do or see in the area. Bicyle friendly.

Thank you for taking the time to do a review and for your kind words. Yes the chickens all have names and do seem to take over the garden at times. So pleased to know that you enjoyed your stay with us and hope to see you again. More

After a very warm welcome by Fiona, we were shown to our downstairs room which was lovely, very comfy and cleaned to perfection. Then I noticed some of the smaller but important & thoughtful extras included that make the stay just that bit better. Nothing mind-blowing but the huge variety of selection of beautiful teas, coffees & hot chocolate and... More

We found a treasure in this guest house. It was all we liked and more! We had a lovely twin ground floor room well equipped with even bath robes and an array of toiletries . Fiona and Simon made us most welcome offering us coffee in the evenings in their comfortable lounge. Food was fantastic and lovely compote from the... More

We spent here one night on our 9-day Scotland roadtrip and sleeping every night in different B&B, we can say The Rumblie was the best! Luxury and eco, with everything a traveller might need, with great breakfast menu and fantastic rooms. We didn´t really talk much with Fiona or Simon, because we´d arrived late and left after breakfast. But I´d... More

A quick re-visit to pick up some more hills in July 2013. Once again Simon and Fiona could not have been better hosts, re-jigging the rooms to suit our party. Dinner of local produce was delightful and the hosts happy to provide us with an 0700hrs full breakfast so we could make an early start. Lounge and conservatory were much... More

Thank you Fiona and Simon for your great hospitality, food and ambience. Fiona and Simon have thought of every little thing a traveller could possibly need from a laundry and drying room, very comfortable bed to whisky tasting if you so desire. The library is extensive, unfortunately our stay was not long enough to make full use of it. We... More

Luxury B&B, with a fabulous welcome and lovely freshly cooked breakfast. There is nothing better than eggs straight from hens you can see in the garden! Best of all was the appearance of a young red squirrel just outside the window and all the different species of birds. Simon and Fiona had a wealth of knowledge about local wildlife and... More

Thank you so much for your review, we are always so pleased when guests take the time to do one. I had one night there. A true Oasis, in an accommodation desert. There are very few places on the EHW, at Laggen bridge, but what can I say! I can only say. Excellent! Fiona was just the best host ever, and could not have been more helpful. I would recommend, The Rumblie, to any weary traveller.
