Great friendly staff to look after you, lots of customer parking, excellent food with a menu that changes every day, wi-fi in lounge, bar with outdoor picnic area for better weather, basic rooms but very clean and comfortable and rooms have televisions with freeview. Golf course near by, great local pubs and restaurants, Highland Wildlife Park just a short drive... more

£100 for 2 people dbb for 2 nights. Food was average, considering how cheap the deal was, I was more than happy. Great base to go hill-walking or golfing in the area. Staff very helpful and place was v clean. Would def go again. more

very friendly staff, rooms clean, beds very comfy, decor in rooms and around hotel old and very dingy and the meals and mealtimes a nightmare! tables very tightly packed together, ventilation very poor so too hot and stuffy and cramped. had to share tables with other members of group and never had meal/table on our own. meals at set times... more

We would like to point out that as you were travelling with a tour group the tour director arranges your meal times to meet with the itinerary that you are following. Our menus offer a varied choice to suit all tastes and if you...

Excellent value, service and atmosphere at this hotel. You will pay much more at many hotels and not receive the service I did on a 2 night stay more

I really did not expect much for £18 (Superbreak) B&B per night but I was very wrong! We booked on a whim as we just needed a wee break away (as you do). We thought it didn’t matter about the accommodation as we spend all day out walking and driving. My job as an International Officer takes me all over... more

From the outside the hotel looks magnificent, the building and its surrounds are well maintained. Inside the hotel, the rooms and bar areas are a bit outdated, especially the bathroom with its early 80's decor. Our room was quite noisy at night, as any time the people in the room next door used the sink the pipes would screech right... more

5 of my friends and I came here for a lads weekend and were delighted with the rooms and hotel in general. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Two in particular would be Mrs Nairn and Renate who made our stay memorable. We are definitely going back. Get it checked out! more

Our booking, several months prior to our stay, at The Highlander requested that we have a double room plus a single bed for our eight year old son, which was confirmed in writing. When we discovered that the room contained three single beds we immediately requested that we were given the room requested only to be informed that this was... more
