Returning home again to Crubenbeg House, is truly like coming home. Charles Rennie MacIntosh came alive! Hospitality like none other, breakfast at just the right time, the newspaper, a book to read on the flight home, a lift to the train, and that lovely Sea Kelp! Gosh, you spoiled me! Just a couple of nights for relaxing during a quick... More

We had an all too short, one night stay with John and Irene and it's one of the best B&B's we've stayed at. We were, immediately, made to feel relaxed and comfortable and welcomed into the house. Our dogs were also truly welcome, which straight away put us at ease. The room (Osprey) was large and very comfortable with a... More

You know. I have never written a note to a witch before. I guess there's a first time for everything. It was great to see you all last Friday and, like you, we are sorry that your stay was only a fleeting one. We are well pleased, though, that you enjoyed it even though you were well fatigued after your... More

I have recently returned from my latest trip in search of fresh air and peace and quiet, away from hustle and bustle of city life. Not for the first time, I made Crubenbeg House my base for my five day trip. What continues to impress me is that John and Irene never take their visitors for granted. Everyone is treated... More

Dan, your recent stay was a real pleasure for us too, I can assure you. Thanks for taking the time in what is, I know, a busy schedule, to pen your kind words. We are touched. As you know, we are blessed with a goodly number of guests who, like yourselves, return to see us on a regular basis. We... More

Stayed here for just one night on our way up to the highlands. We have stayed here before and John and Irene always give us the best of welcomes. Irene never fails to impress with her baking. Cup of tea and a piece of 'tiffin'. Carry on I says. Always stay in the Osprey room and it's not a rugby... More

Jason, I am penning this reply after the weekend which saw the remaining Northern Hemisphere Rugby Teams take their leave of the Rugby World Cup. At least your boys lasted longer than mine did!! It was great to see you again when you sojourned on your last holiday - as ever we enjoyed your company and, especially, the banter. Until... More

Not a good start...parked in the disabled parking space, being a blue badge holder I thought that was the correct place for me to park.not according to the landlady who promptly told me to move my car as the space was for another guest, fortunately her husband said it was ok for me to park there, otherwise we would have found another... Mr R, Thanks very much for taking the time to pen your review, even though it is obviously not the best which we have received. We are disappointed that the wrong tone was set by Irene asking you to move your car from the space which is reserved for guests in our disabled room. That said, the guest in the... More

John met us at the door, welcomed us like family, gave us the tour, invited us to join them for a home cooked dinner by Irene (last minute was not an issue!). Their home was well located, off the highway, over the bridge, past the falls....very clean and quiet.. Offering all the amenities that you may want (wifi, tv, lounge,... More

Karen & Shelly, Thanks for taking the time to post your review here on Trip Advisor, it is very kind of you. Rest assured that we enjoyed looking after the two of you during your all-too-brief stay, asmuch as you enjoyed your stopover. Here's hoping that there's a next time and, if so, that you'll both grace us with your... More

This is the fourth time we have stayed year and nothing has changed, it's still the best B and B I know. We had an overnight stay as we travelled to Loch Lomond. Large comfortable rooms with all amenities and a lovely breakfast. John & Irene were so welcoming and informative. This is a great place to base yourself for exploring the surrounding area but even one night here is a pleasure. Definitely a place you would want to visit again.

I was driving around the Highlands and riding ponies in Newtonmore. Crubenbeg House was in the perfect location for me. It is just outside of the small village but feels like it is on it's own estate. The room was extremely comfortable and had every amenity your heart could desire. The breakfast menu was spectacular with more choices than you... More

Another marvellous stay at Crubenbeg House and cannot really add anything else from our previous reviews. The beautiful house plus John and Irene's care and attention at all times and not forgetting Irene's wonderful cooking just brings it all together. Another booking for 2016 is on the cards!
