This was our second visit to Crunenbeg - it only took us 7 years to get back - it was just as great as we remembered. You have to try the home cooking, it was superb. John and Irene are perfect hosts. We almost didn't put a review on trip advisor because we would like to keep it as a... More

Jules, Thanks so much for making an exception to your "No Review" Rule, we are honoured, indeed. As you know, we had a great time with you here and we sincerely hope that it wont be 2022 until we see you again!! All the very best & thanks again, John. More

Just wanted to write a wee message to say we had a brilliant night away at the Crunenbeg. It was a short visit but ticked all our boxes, Great location, great room, John and Irene were lovely! They were on hand for sightseeing ideas and recommendations ( thanks for recommending the Glen Hotel for dinner, it was superb and had... More

Sheena & Alan, Our thanks, to you, for choosing Crubenbeg House for the Birthday Celebration. Your visit was, by necessity, only a short one but we, too, enjoyed your company. Here's hoping that you'll have longer to stay next time. Until then, all the very best and do keep working on those menus Alan!! More

I've stayed at many B&Bs over the years & my experience there w as the best ever. It's a perfect place; cosy comfort, delightful dinner, brilliant breakfast, superb scenery, wonderful walks, and if my dog Renzo could talk he would agree with every word. We shall be back!

My partner has been visiting Crubenbeg for 5 years now, and her stories had made me want to go! So when a vacancy came up to join her for the 'end of term party' I jumped at the chance. The location is simply amazing, very close to the main road for convenience but far enough that its not intrusive. The... More

Martin. That's us just back from the Land Down Under and catching up with paperwork - oh, the paperwork!! One of my nicest jobs is, however, replying to your very kind comment about your inaugural stay with us for our Charity Bash at the end of October. Irene & I are delighted that it lived up to "Your Partner's" descriptions... More

It is my second time at Crubenbeg House. Last year, I stayed for 5 nights: this year, for 30 nights. Believe it, a month in the Highlands! Using Crubenbeg House as a base for my adventure, I could get a good night's sleep, go downstairs to the perfectly-set table for a wholesome, filling, and delicious breakfast, go out the back... Dee. Thank you for waxing so lyrical about your month-long sojourn with us last month. That certainly sets a new record for our longest stay. It is a really good job that we all got on so well, isn't it? We're already looking forward to doing it all again, same place, slightly different time, next year. Thanks again, John &... More

Fabulous room, generous hosts, super breakfast, wonderfully dog friendly, great area! We were guided at every step by John & Irene and made to feel thoroughly welcome. The dogs were more than welcomed too.

Fantastic stay! I booked the guest house just for a wee break and a treat for my partner's birthday weekend. Cannot fault a single detail! John and Irene were so welcoming, and the coffee & home baking on arrival was just fab. The room was beautiful, not a thing out of place and attention paid to every detail. Irene's cooking... More

If I start this response, "Dear Lushlips" it is going to sound like one of those gushy Valentine's messages, so forgive me, but I won't. What I will do, though, is thank you for taking the time to leave your delightful comments on here, for other potential guests to see. We very much enjoyed having you stay with us -... More

We stayed overnight at Crubenbeg House on our journey to Orkney. It's position is very convenient. John was extremely helpful and welcoming. The room was beautifully appointed with a superb en-suite. It was a delight to stay there. Breakfast was great. We would particularly recommend Irene's cranachan and would thoroughly recommend staying there. Very good value for money.

Our first idea, when we left the gate of Crubenbeg House was, when we can come back again? Friendly home atmosphere, comfortable accommodation and excellent breakfasts hardly can express the best 9 days of our holiday. Vladimir C. and my family

We booked for two nights whilst on a mountain biking trip, in order to have somewhere relaxing each evening after exhausting ourselves on the trails. We weren't disappointed! G'day Chocolatefoot. Thanks very much for your review which is "fair dinkum" as I think you say Down Under. It is good of you to have posted, given how busy you've been, extra thanks for doing that too. Until we meet again, either at our place or yours, all the very best. John. More
