If you are planning on visiting the Cairngorms National Park, you absolutely must stay at Crubenbeg House! John and Irene definitely know how to make guests feel truly at home. They set the standard for how a B&B should be run, and I've found that very few others can meet this standard. Let me begin with breakfast - as has... More

While on holiday with my dad, he booked us two nights at the Crubenbeg House towards the end of our journey and we wished we had more time there! John and Irene are excellent hosts and provide more than just a room. They both add so much to the experience of staying at a bed and breakfast and I was... More

Stayed for 3 nights this time and we were absolutely delighted that we opted for evening meal option. Irene's cooking is first class, worthy of Michelin awards. Conversation around the dinner table was stimulating and entertaining, especially with John's interjections. Attention to detail and the little touches to the rooms makes guest feel special. Suggestions for walks, complete with maps,... More

Very comfortable with all the extra touches - robes, chocolates, mineral water etc. We received a warm welcome and were served tea and home baked cake. Good location with walks nearby. We took our dogs who were made very welcome and were able to join us in the lounge after dinner for coffee. Highly recommend this for a stop over.

C, Many thanks indeed for taking the time to post your review and thanks, too, for being so kind about your time with us. Here's hoping that you all had a great time on your holidays, despite the walks not being as long as you'd hoped. Fingers crossed that the hound's scar is healing up nicely too. TTFN. More

This is a really great B&B and is more like a country House Hotel than what you may expect from a B&B. Quality throughout with comfortable beds, thoughtful touches like chocolates and bathrobes in the room and lots more. The lounge is very spacious and comfortable and the setting is spectacular - although you are close to the A9 the... More

P, C, T & J, Many thanks indeed for taking the time to "put your kind thoughts on paper". It was a real joy having you all stay with us and we hope that a certain canine's "war wound" is well on the mend. Until next we meet, all the very best. More

My wife and I picked Crubenbeg House because we wanted somewhere comfortable to stay close to the A9 while travelling north, and, for this it's absolutely ideal; it's only a short distance from the main road, but it is very quiet and peaceful. Our room was large and comfortable, and the evening meal and breakfast were both very good. The... More

We booked a room at relatively short notice and hadn't done our homework on the surrounding area at all. We stayed for 3 nights in possibly the best place I've ever visited! Such a beautiful setting, with amazing rooms and amenities owned by two very lovely, warm and kind people. John and Irene were very knowledgeable about the local area... More

Last day we stayed just for one night here. Welcome was very friendly. Before dinner we drank some pints together with the other guests in the lovely sitting room with an open fire. The dinner after was superb! Not just the taste but also the creative arrangements. But the dinner was nothing compared to the awesome breakfast! You have to... More
