I have stayed at Crubenbeg House a number of times, and can honestly say that it is the nicest, most hospitable and dog-friendliest B&B I know. The layout of the (communal) dining table adds to the convivial atmosphere and is particularly appealing for solo (female) travellers, who are more often than not "tucked away" in a dark corner. John and... More

We have stayed at a number of 'wheelchair friendly' B&B's and have had very stressfull experiences! From the very moment we arrived at Crubenbeg all our concerns were put to rest. We were warmly welcomed by Irene and John along with much needed hot mugs of coffee. Our room - The Pine Martin, was on the ground floor and had... More

Irene and John have just the right mix of informality and top class service. The house is beautifully appointed with sofas by the open fire and a separate communal dining area. The rooms are private and very comfortable with extra touches such as chocolates (replenished every day too!). As a base for activities it is ideal, with walks, pubs, fishing... More

I was joining up with family members for an unexpected short trip to Scotland - just two nights. I was very taken with how John and Irene welcomed us. They were very hospitable and easy to be around and had suggestions of places to visit that they thought met our requirements. The whole place was lovely and clean and very... More

I stayed one night as a stopover whilst on the way North to Tigh Na Sith (the 'Sister B & B' - which is also excellent). One night was enough to confirm for me all the praises listed by other guests are true. My room was the Pine Martin on the ground floor. This was very comfortable, clean, well equipped... More

Staying in the beautiful and spacious Stag room, the rooms at this B & B rival (exceed?) those of a five star hotel. The common areas (sitting room and dining room) are beautiful and comfortable and can be thoroughly enjoyed with a glass of wine or local ale in hand as Crubenbeg is licensed. It's fascinating to meet fellow guests... More

booked to stay here at the end of June for 1 night as a stopover to break our journey up North - I was travelling with my gran who has stayed here before and it was quite simply the best place we could have stayed. Ideally located off the motorway wihin beautifully kept gardens and John and Irene really are... More

My husband and I spent a very relaxing couple of nights at Crubenbeg House recently. John and Irene are wonderful hosts and nothing was too much trouble. The breakfasts that Irene cooked were delicious with many choices. We also had dinner there and the food again was excellent. The house is spotless and very comfortable. Our room was lovely with... My girlfriend and I had a wonderfully welcoming and relaxing stay at Crubenbeg House at the end of August. John and Irene were incredibly friendly and helpful. Our room was beautiful and very comfortable and has all the amenities you would expect from a high end hotel. We went out for dinner at a recommended local pub and returned to... More

Many many thanks for a lovely stay albeit only for one night with other members of our family. Everything from the warm welcome, spacious room with view, to the delicious evening meal and breakfast left us feeling totally relaxed and refreshed. More
