Overnight stay, .On Main Street in Newtonmore but noise was not an issue. Room was clean , bathroom needed a wee bit of extra attention eg , fan was in need of a clean! We ate in the bar , which was busy , food was good , staff were very attentive. Would stay again.

Great time at the Balavil. Fraser and his staff make you most welcome. Room was fresh and clean and suited our needs. Food was of very good quality and kitchen staff have to be praised for the high standard. Breakfast also was very good with a full Scottish breakfast which set you up for the day. Wimbledon was on and... More

Although not staying at the hotel, friends had recommended we eat at the hotel. We had an evening meal for 4 (2 adults, 2 kids) and we're delighted with the staff, they were accommodating and friendly...and despite 2 coach loads of guests arriving at the same time, were able to sort food without any delay at all. Our food was... More

We stayed here with a group while touring the Highlands. Our room was in the newer part of the hotel on the ground floor. Clean room with double bed and spacious bathroom. Very quiet at night. Breakfast was plentiful, cooked items where served. Dinner was great, a very good kitchen. Evening entertainment was presented by Mr. Capone, a great guitar... More

We stayed here with a group for 4 nights. We had a room in the newer part of the hotel on the ground floor which was spacious and tidy. The breakfast was everything you could wish for and so was dinner. A very good restaurant indeed. If you are lucky you might enjoy evening entertainment with Mr. Capone!

Being a lover of modern history, you could evidently understand my absolute delight when we found that the hoteliers with who, we were staying had obviously also heard of my passion for the arts and had provided us with not only a room decor from the 1990s, but thankfully the furnishings to match. To say I was relieved was an... More

Dear Mr Linnen, We were very disappointed that you decided to follow through with your review after my recent interaction with you, where you threatened myself and my manager after demanding more money from us. My encounter with you began at 1am when you called our hotel emergency line where I asked you to come to reception in the morning... More

Stayed here for the weekend (22-24 May 2015) as part of a group of five up for some hillwalking, we had two rooms booked a twin and a triple. I arrived after the first three who had already checked in and all we had to do was pick up a couple of key cards from reception. We took our bags... More

We stayed in a twin room after walking from Laggan on day 3 of the East Highland Way. The check in was friendly and easy. During our stay all the staff were brilliant, we had dinner in the bar, service was prompt and the food lovely. Our clean room had been recently decorated and was quiet and peaceful, spent the...
