Excellent value for money. Very friendly and professional staff . Noticed a comment about overpriced carlsburg which is strange as they don't sell it! . Beer and wine prices very reasonable. Would definitely recommend this hotel to all my friends and family

Not badly priced but the room was very small for a double. The bar was expensive- over four pounds for a pint of Carlsburg. What really annoyed me was an outside light literally outside my window. The purpose of the light was to illuminate the hotel sign, this could have been more thoughtfully positioned. Staff OK but not outstanding. I... More

ok, not the best hotel but have stayed here many times, the management and staff are polite, helpful and friendly. The pub/hotel is closed early morning so no check out procedure involved, this also means no breakfast available but as they state, there are plenty of cafe's very nearby. I must say, the room allocation is a bit of a... More

A 2 night stay for £135 without breakfast is not expensive but you need some quality. Our room had a double bed with 2 single beds and was clean and tidy. The mattress on the double bed was soft and you rolled into the middle. Bathroom was ok and clean but only one small piece of soap. Good clean linen... More

Stayed here in April. Very disappointed with the room, toilet made an awful noise whenever we flushed it. There was a party that evening which we weren't told about so didn't get to sleep til late, not great when we had an early start the next day. In the middle of the night found a bug crawling on the pillow.... More

Fabulous bar. Good location, however; I felt like crying when I saw my room... Yes, they have tried to make this hotel nicer but it doesn't meet the required standard. Tiny tiny room. Hardest bed ever. Very cold (heating appeared to be off). Horrible pillows. Flimsy blinds that do nothing to block out light. One towel for two people!! Terrible... More

The Olde Swan has been uplifted (the pub area anyway). The opening night was last night and they have done a fantastic job on the refit. The style of the pub is relaxing and eccentric with lots to look at and a great feel to the interior. The food has not yet started but free samples were on offer and... More

I stayed at the old swan hotel while on business in the area. It was more than adequate for my needs. The rooms where very clean if slightly under equipped (mine didn't have a tv) but this wasn't a problem as I had my laptop. The staff where great and considering they are very new to the area where very... More
