Thoroughly enjoyed our night at this hotel by the river in Chertsey. The room had recently been refurbushed with a lovely en-suite and views over the river. Staff were friendly on arrival and we enjoyed a tasty sausage and mash meal in the adjoining pub which was reasonably priced. The room was clean and spacious, quite warm but there was... more

We found the room modern and spacious, but not very clean, dirt on the tea tray, foreign objects floating in the kettle and just a general lack of service and lazyness from room service...no refills on tea coffee&milk on the 2nd night, bed not made, the towels were changed though, and when we rang reception they were very helpful with the kettle he went to the... more

We are sorry that you did not enjoy your stay on this ocassion and may I thank you for your feedback on the hotel. The standard of service that we would normally aspire to, you did not receive and for that I apologise for. Since your visit we have retrained our restaurant staff and appointed a new Head Chef to...

We stayed three days here. We booked through an online travel service and thought we got a good rate however I htink they gave us the worst room they had and upon check-in the staff requested I sign an credit card authorization for more than my room rate for the three day stay, I have never at at other hotels... more

A business stop-off hotel that just happens to be on the riverside. It's a good mile from Chertsey (though not much to see there, anywho) and on a pretty uninteresting section of the Thames. Rooms are fine - functional and bland. It does the job but unless you're tied to an event in Chertsey would suggest staying elsewhere in the... more

I wanted an inexpensive but memorable one night stay to show my wife how much I love her and I chose the Boathouse & Bridge Hotel. The staff in the hotel and the restaurant were so kind and caring. The room was very nice with everything that anyone could want except there was no clock to view during the night.... more

I stayed at the hotel early October 2007. When I left the hotel at about 7pm I asked the receptionist, "does the air-con (situated under rooms windows) get turned off later" and she told it was at about 11pm. When I returned at about midnight, the air-con unit was still operating and save for a 15 minute break, at about... more

Stayed at this hotel for on average for about two or three times a week over a number of months. It tries to be many things and fails at most of them. The rooms need updating, unless you get one overlooking the river, for which you pay extra, your room will overlook the kitchen ducting system, which is noisy and goes... more

We stayed here for 3 days. The rooms and bathrooms definately need updating. The staff were pleasant enough. We didn't eat the breakfast because it was extra and we decided to go out instead. If you can get a reduced room rate and a riverside view then this is an ok hotel but it definately is not worth the normal... more

We booked this for a one night stay when racing at Sandown Park. Its excellent value if booked online through Active Hotels, and the river view rooms worth the extra. The only problem was that we were on the first floor and the guests on the second floor were very noisy and obviously wearing hobnail boots until well after midnight.... more

I have had three separate overnight stays at the Boathouse, which I use to visit an elderly relative who lives locally. We have always paid extra for the riverview, on one occasion my daughter had another room overlooking the carpark, having seen it we were lucky to be able to change her to a riverview. The rooms are quite basic... more
