Visited this hostelry twice recently whilst enjoying a camping/ walking break locally. On both occasions we ate from the Bar Menu which provided a reasonable choice of dishes. Excellent food, not cheap but good value with generous servings. Good range of draught beers & ciders. Welcoming Staff. Overall a good atmosphere.

My Husband and I have just returned from the Saracens Head after a 4 night stay in the Boathouse. From the moment we stepped in the door to check in we knew it was going to be good. The staff were very helpful and friendly, our room was lovely, the pub was great and the food was delicious. All guests... More

My husband and I spent two nights at the boathouse and it was amazing, lovely décor, fresh, clean and well maintained, highly recommended. The inn itself was fantastic too, very rare to have such first class service, staff couldn't do enough to accommodate everything we asked for. To top it all the food was delicious too. We would book there... More

The whooow factor reading almost off the scale at this outstanding inn. The location is breathtaking with the view from our riverside bedroom almost like a painting ,the trees and shrubbery with the houses on the opposite bank reflected in the calm still waters of the River Wye. Staff were very efficient and the dinner was a true delight. Perfect... More

just had a fantastic stay at The Saracens head. It was our first mountain biking experience and the Saracens head was an ideal location. Arrived late due to traffic and it was a bit tricky to find but once we arrived we were shown to our room by the friendly staff. The bar itself was very busy but didn't seem... More

Had a 1 night stay and was blown aw ay by the location and the food. The rooms all have a river view and were a great size. There are plenty of things to do from the hotel. The views from the top of the rock are amazing and the cute hand pulled ferry is wonderful. What impressed me most... More

We didn't stay at The Saracens but had an amazing meal there. The location is wonderful by itself but inside, the inn has been tastefully decorated, modern but not out of keeping with the age of the buildings. We ate in the dining room. The atmosphere was warm and friendly, the service excellent and the food gets a big wow.... More

We have stayed many times over the last 15 years or so. The owners have something special here working hard with their team to get it right for customers whether staying or just there to eat and/or drink. Granted it does get busy but its in such a wonderful spot and the staff provide an excellent service so its always... More

We have stayed at the Saracens Head before and would highly recommend it. The Inn is set in a magnificent location, with stunning scenery. It offer superb food, great rooms, (especially the superior rooms) and service is excellent. We thoroughly enjoyed our latest stay and look forward to returning.
