We have stayed at the Saracens Head before and would highly recommend it. The Inn is set in a magnificent location, with stunning scenery. It offer superb food, great rooms, (especially the superior rooms) and service is excellent. We thoroughly enjoyed our latest stay and look forward to returning.

Stayed in this delightful place last weekend. Brilliant location, fantastic food, views to die for and great value for money. Already recommended to friends and would love to go back. Great views of river and beautiful walks. Peaceful and relaxing.

second visit here and again it did not disappoint. Wonderful location. Stunning place overlooking the river. Managed to park outside the hotel. Had lovely lunch overlooking the river and beautiful walks up to see Symmond Rock. Then afterwards another few drinks by the riverside seeing the boat coming across and the wildlife. Dinner that night was superb with a lovely... More

It is several years since we last visited the Saracens and we'd decided on a last minute break. Booking was friendly and helpful and this was the theme throughout our stay. We'd chosen room 7, overlooking the river, which was modern, clean and comfortable, especially the en suite. Our weather was good and we relaxed sitting out on the bar... More

Stayed here for 1 night (Sunday) - Booked Double with Booking.com £89.00 BB. Due to an overbooking situation we were upgraded to the Upper Boathouse Room (norm £138.00 per night BB)...It was fabulous. It was a glorious sunny Sunday so we sat on our balcony overlooking the river watching the canoes and boats weaving their way up and downstream... To... More

Our 2nd visit to the Saracens Head Inn and was not disappointed, 2 nights last time but sadly only one night this time. The most lovely and relaxing place, after parking at noon we did not use the car again, a boat trip along the Wye river, lunch, drinks and dinner at Saracens Head with nice long walks in between,... We stayed in room 8, very clean and comfy. Plenty of provisions to make a hot drink including hot chocolate and bottled water provided too. Food outstanding and beautifully presented, all staff we encountered were very pleasant and welcoming. We overheard the waitress offer to find reading glasses for someone who'd forgotten them, they were able to find something suitable!... More

Perfect Inn, perfect room, perfect venue, perfect food and perfect staff. Visited and stayed on a very bust August bank holiday weekend and despite there being thousands of visitors the quality of service from Saracens Head team was first class as usual. Poor guy pulling the ferry must have been exhausted pulling hundreds of visitors too and from the Inn.... More

From the location, service, to the food, excellent. To all those that review it's expensive you get what you pay for, great ingredients, generous portions, cooked and plated well - worth every penny, eat dinner three nights running! To accommodate my allergies happy to deconstruct meals for me, provide alternative, sign of a good restaurant! Oh and the hand ferry... More
