Was totally amazed at the standard of food and the service of the waiters and waitress who were attentive, bubbly and accommodating. My partner and I both had a sirloin steak, and we both agreed it was the best steak we had ever had! Proper homemade chips too- and a good portion at that! Thought nothing could top the steak... All the food looked super and was cooked fresh. It was busy but we didnt wait long for our excellent meal. cant wait to visit again as... More

From the first phone enquiry to paying the bill the staff were friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. They really did go out of their way to ensure we had a fantastic, relaxing and enjoyable break. The food is excellent and there is a great selection of real ales. It was so easy to just sit outside on the terrace and watch... More

Excellent food - chilli-chocolate-venison sausages and Welsh lamb were particularly delicious, good humorous service from a Scottish lady who went by the nickname of Jezabel, and reasonable pricing, who could ask for more. Thoroughly recommend.

From the moment you arrive at The Saracen's Head, at beautiful Symond's Yat East, you know you're in for a treat. This 12 roomed family run Hotel has an enormous array of very friendly & helpful staff under owner Pete's guidance. Excellent beer & wines are available at very reasonable prices & the food is definitely not 'pub grub'! We... More

Called in for lunch mid week. Pretty busy, but the service on food delivery was average. A long delay between bringing out the meals meant we all are at different times. We would return due to location.

Just got back from a two night stay at the Saracens. The pub/hotel is situated in a beautiful location along the River Wye, walking distance from Yat Rock (which offers incredible views of the surrounding area - well worth a visit). We stayed in room 2, which was nicely decorated, very clean, and had a lovely view over the river.... More

I have never written a negative view before but we came in for a drink and felt that the bar staff were pretty unfriendly - referring to us as "City folk" apart from the chef - Miles - who was a genuinely nice guy and very helpful. That said the position of the Inn is fabulous and well worth a... More

Just come back from this beauty spot today. We ate both evenings in the Saracens head. The first night in the restaurant which was excellent. Good food good service. The second night had to be in the bar because there were no tables available whilst I don't dislike dogs, I feel that a place where people (dogless) are eating the... More
