We have visited 4 times over the past 6 months for Sunday Lunch. The food and service has been consistently kept at a high standard on each occasion. My companions and I have tried various courses on the menus during this time and all the meals were prepared and presented in a professional manner. Good home cooked fresh dishes. Keep... More

Just a proper good quality pub with good food and beer, in fantastic surroundings. The staff knew their stuff and it was so busy but they still had time for us. The rooms are spotless and the facilities are all we could ask for.

We have visited the Saracens Head several times and have always found them very welcoming. The food is varied and plenty of choice. The rooms are well-furnished and the beds very comfortable. There is so much to do here, walking, canoeing and boat rides and places to visit not too far away. If you just want a rest in lovely... More

I honestly couldn't find fault with our stay at the Saracens Head Inn. The room, staff and food were all fantastic. A beautiful setting & we'll definitely stay again. We stayed in room 12 (the upper boat house) which was clean & stylishly furnished. The staff were friendly & couldn't do enough to help. Dinner & breakfast was faultless &... More

We have visited the Saracens Head for food a number of times since discovering it last year and it never fails to impress. The setting is gorgeous (right on the river and with plenty of space to sit outside, if the weather permits), the food is delicious and there is a superb range of real ales. In addition, the staff... Ate here twice over the last weekend. From our initial entrance we received a friendly welcome & good service. This is a old traditional pub / restaurant serving several local ales & festive mulled wine amongst a large drinks selection. They also provided board games & were happy to give us local information & show us their high standard accommodation.... More

We stayed at the Saracens Head in the Upper Boathouse "room" ( it is like a flat, not a room) in December 2014. Everything about our stay was perfect: the staff, polite, friendly informative. The food was of an excellent standard, great choice (even for me as a vegetarian). The look and smell of the bar (wood burning stove in... More
