we stayed here in early June 2015. It's gone right down hill in respect of the toilet blocks. There are 3 on site but two were closed off leaving everyone to use the brick built ones near the office. The site was busy so totally insufficient facilities. Decor in poor state. The showers whilst warm were mouldy and smelt. The... More

This site has a convenient location if you want to use the river- in every other respect it was lacking. This is a big site with an attached amusement park and yet there were only three toilet cubicles and two showers in the gents. Totally inadequate. It was also a 500m walk from our pitch to fetch water. One of... More

We booked last minute for the bank holiday weekend, Our Motor Home was being repaired and we got it back on 21st May, Even from the first phone call I had my doubts about this place, but beggars can't be choosers so we decided to book the offered pitch. On arrival the attitude was less than impressive and seemed like... More

This campsite was great for access to the river - we did a half-day canoeing trip through the canoe company based on-site, so very convenient. On most other points, not so great! As several reviews have said, the facilities aren't ideal. Only two showers and two toilets in the ladies (think gents was the same) and these close for an... More

Absolutely terrible facilities. Really shocking. We stayed with a campervan with an electric hook up. We had to pay extra for a river view. The toilet block is awful. Two really grotty toilets, and showers that they have the cheek to charge £1 for hot water! They say please leave them as you'd like to find them - this would... More

This campsite is very convenient for the river. It is also cheap. BUT when I stayed there was an incredible amount of noise. The people in the 'group' field were up all night, drinking, fighting, shouting, swearing and vomiting. They had dogs which ran amok and started fighting at about 1.00am Awful night, The warden did come round several times... More

They certainly crammed them in over the weekend and then closed the family field toilet and shower block, hundreds of people sharing 4 toilets and showers. Facilities need a real overhaul. Great location but won't be returning.

The site is in a beautiful location however that's about the only thing it's got going for it, we stayed in a tent non electric on the family field, I wouldn't classify it as a field as its just a patch of flat grass inbetween two small roads. Toilets next to the so called field are out of order. Only... More

Well. I've camped a reasonable amount in my life (14500 feet up a mountain, and most of the wild places in the UK). So I feel I'm used to roughing it. So to part with £30 for a piece of grass without opting for an electric hook up either (although it was lovely flat grass) was a shock for what... More

Spent just one night in our caravan, visiting friends. To put it bluntly we will never return nor recommend this site. On arrival the young lady who "greeted" us showed the warmth and charisma of a damp rag. Quick to take our money and send us on our way, she failed to top up our electricity allowance for our pitch... More
