The location of this hotel is excellent for both walking and canoeing, situated on the banks of the Wye in a beautifully quiet spot. The staff were extremely welcoming and helpful. We didn't eat in the restaurant so can't comment on the food, except for the breakfast, which was superb. A cosy bar, with log fire, made for a very... More

We spent a rather wet Sunday night there. The location right on the river was stunning, the food in the pub was excellent both for dinner and breakfast. What really stood out was the friendly, relaxed, nothing was too much trouble service. If you are staying in the area stay here!

Ye Old Ferrie Inn was great. We stayed for two nights, dinner, bed and breakfast. The Inn is right beside the river and a ferry can take you across when the water level is not too high. We particularly enjoyed the log fires, friendly staff, friendly locals in the bar, great food and a good selection of beers, wines and... More

Only here for a night before we took to the water in a canoe for the weekend. Well located right beside the canoe hire it's the perfect place to start your adventure. Hearty meals for dinner and breakfast with a good selection of ales. Sitting outside beside the river makes for a very peaceful evening Rooms were basic but clean... More

Great location, tasty food and friendly staff. Our room was warm and comfortable, if a little tired in décor, but the pub itself more than made up for that! Good range of ales available in the bar, and hearty food portions which are good value for money. Excellent base for activities and walking.

I have recently returned from a fishing trip to the ferrie with a couple of friends. We stayed Mon-Fri at the bunkhouse situated alongside the ferrie. The accommodation is basic but suits our needs perfectly. Any large group of people or backpackers will find it ideal as its location is second to none. Jamie the landlord can arrange canoe trips... Stayed here again for another two nights & experienced the usual high standard of attentive & friendly service from Jamie & all the staff we dealt with. The Inn is an idilic getaway from it all, set in the heart of the Wye valley with excellent panoramic views over the river & surrounding countryside. It's peaceful & relaxing location is... More

Found this lovely pub with rooms by chane but so glad we did. Situated on the edge of the River Wye the warmth of the welcome lasted from the time we entered the door until we left the next morning. Good food, great atmosphere, cosy rooms and fab walks in a beautiful part of the country. Wake up to the... More

Stayed here for 2 nights whilst we were working locally and loved the place. Jamie and his staff are friendly, welcoming and easy to please. The food is great, with a good selection and the breakfasts superb. If a few steep stairs and a snug, slightly tired en suite are the sorts of things that would put you off, don't... More

A very comfortable and cosy atmosphere with a log fire and stunning views, everything you would expect from a pub/hotel, good food & beer and decent accommodation. Couldn't have been more helpful. Definitely want to return.
