2 days in to our 120km Camino Finisterre, and it was time for a night's rest at Casa Jurjo. The delightful, curly-haired driver picked us up from Santa Mariña, just 20 minutes after we phoned from a roadside bar. Our twin room with private bathroom was very comfortable, with everything we needed. The only odd thing was that 2 of... More

We found ourselves at Casa Jurjo because we couldn't get a room on the Camino where we stopped for the night. They were prompt in picking us up from the Camino gratis. The room was spacious, clean and importantly for us that day, warm. While their menu de dia was good, it was their €5 breakfast that stood out as... More

A few km off the pilgrim trail but the hotel will collect you and take you back to the camino the next day. Room was immaculate. Food and drink very good value. Not much to do in the town, but if walking the camino this is a tiring day on the trail. No shower curtain so floor did get flooded... More

The bar looks over a vast car and coach park. We were picked up by car from Albeiroas as part of our Camino package. The staff seemed to be eating whilst serving which set the tone. They showed us three rooms which was kind. The rooms were a bit small and it was difficult to open our suitcases. There was... More

We stayed here in 2010 and it was absolutely fine, did the job but nothing that really impressed us. Back again in 2013 and it was a lovely, lovely experience. Friendly staff, tasty affordable meal options for dinner and a lift to the start of the Camino the next morning. And a *wonderful* breakfast served with a smile! Couldn't recommend... More

Again , being picked up by the hotel car when you had reached your limit walking, was a great benefit, we were having a family and friends walking holiday, not being martyrs. George or Jurjo had good english, ( although I think there are more than one George),and was extremely helpful in organising our next nights accommodation and a taxi... More

The service at this family run hotel is excellent. After an excruciatingly hot walk from Negreira, we made it to a bus shelter in Abeleiroas and called Casa Jurjo. In a few minutes, they picked us up and took us to the hotel in the nearby town of A Pichota (about 3 km). The hotel has nice rooms, a bar... More

My husband and I were so happy to discover Casa Jurjo in A Picota, just 2.9 km off of the Camino to Finisterre. We walked but there is advertising on the Camino that they will come and get you and bring you back. We had a lovely room, a great lunch and the friendliest service ever. If I had any... More

A word of warning on this place, it's 2.9km off the camino finisterre route but nearly 6.5km from Olveiroa. If you're planning on walking your third day here from Olveiroa to Finisterre then staying in this hotel adds nearly 7km to your walk, the distance from the hotel to the seafront in finisterre is 40 km (and another 3.5km if... Casa Jurjo looks like a plane and simple hotel which truly holds its beauty inside. The rooms are very clean and well kept but its best feature is the service. The reception staff is extraordinarely friendly and we were even offered a lift to retake the way of St James as the hotel lies 4km off it. The pilgrim's menu... More
