We highly recommend this 11 room rural hotel as a special place to stay. We enjoyed wine-tasting, a walk around the grounds, and an excellent breakfast. It is easy to stroll Into the town from the hotel. Our hostess was very welcoming and helpful. To find pazo a Capitana if driving along the coastal road from the north, drive through... More

Beautiful patio where you can enjoy cool white wine for free. The hotel has large garden and vineyard to stroll. Good restaurants and bar are 10 min walk. Better to stay several days to relax yourself.

We stayd here during a winetrip in october. Pazo a Capitana is a very comfortable accommodation in a beautiful historic building. Rooms are large, unique with comfortable and beautiful furniture that suits the indoor environment perfectly. The vineyard and tranquility of the garden is a very nice facility. despite the tranquility it is centrally located with a short walk to... More

Trying to finish up my last reviews of our wine trip in September/October before our holidays begin. The PAZA A CAPITANA actually offers its visitors 11 rooms to stay in the midst of this magnificent piece of land just a short walk from the center of the town. This property dates back to the 15th century. The rates for the... More

We did not stay here, but had a tour and wine tasting as part of a cruise shore excursion. The woman who guided our tour was welcoming and interesting. The buildings and grounds are lovely. The wine making area has the old historical equipment on display, and also shows how the wines are currently made. The lush gardens are lovely... More

We stayed only one night but wished it could have been longer. We walked around the vineyard and the lovely old building when we arrived, then sat under the vines and enjoyed our complimentary bottle of their own Albarinho wine, slept that off in our very comfortable room before walking the short distance into the lovely little village for dinner.... We found this hotel through Tripadvisor and delighted that we did. Just a few minutes walk from the centre of town and through an imposing gate, Pazo a Capitano is in a world of its own. A beautiful courtyard with the winery and vineyards all contained within the town, a combination that is possibly be unique. The owner was very... More

With 2 other friends we were only able to stay 1 night but wish it could have been longer. Lovely old building and gardens. Excellent rooms and breakfast was first class. Very close to the sea and the centre of town. Fantastic value for money.

We have traveled international for over 12 years and this has to be one of the top 3 hotels we have stayed at regardless of price. It is hard to belive this quiet, stone walled compound is only a 5 minute walk from the city center. Our room was large and very clean. The hallway had the feel of a... More
