After numerous positive experiences at other Paradors throughout Spain, it was horrifying to encounter this one. Nothing particularly historic or scenic about this one - fine. Staff were courteous, as always at Paradors - fine. But once in the shabby room, five minutes after touching the bedspread, my hand was itchy, swollen and red, and my head was congested -... More

The hotel is perfectly located just off the motorway. Reasonable rates. Room was clean and spacious with a fairly large bathroom (we didn't have any problem with road noise), unfortunately we were given a room with two single beds - but this was probably my fault as I did not request a double - nor was I asked. Good amenities.... More

If you are travelling from the Málaga province of Spain, heading up to Madrid or, as we were, to Cantabria in the very far north, then a perfect stopover is the Parador at Manzanares. Manzanares is about 370kms from Málaga but an easy drive at any time of the year – motorway all the way and none of it on... More

Initial impressions were that the property was in need of some renovation. However once we were inside we found it to be comfortable and quiet and very well furnished. Lovely pool and towels provided. Dinner was excellent. Beautiful suckling lamb and a lovely buffet of starters, desserts could do with some improvement. Breakfast was excellent! Not a destination hotel but... More

We like Paradors and this one was very good. The exterior is not impressive, but the interior and service is excellent. The GPS told us to turn East off the highway, but we saw the Parador sign along the circle and turned directly into the hotel area. Hotel staff was exceptionally cordial. Amenites were as advertised and quite good. We... More

We were very happy to stop the night here. It was not outstanding but afforded a quiet night although close to the motorway, We were at the front - and other reviews said look for the rooms at the back but we didn't have a problem. The buffet was a very good opportunity to try different local dishes

We we're recommend to try a Parador but this one would not make me rush back. The rooms were all right and very clean but the diner was a let down and very expensive for what was on offer. Breakfast was a good display but the cooked part was cold and the toast machine was on a go slow.

Located next to the autovia, but no traffic noise. Plenty of free parking within the grounds. Nice hotel with a feel of old Spanish charm. The rooms and some of the common areas are getting a little tired now, and are in need of a refurbishment. The breakfast was superb.

We have stayed many times over the last twenty years at this Parador on our way from Santander to our place on the Costa del Sol. It is very covenient to the Autovia A4 and offers a (small!) garage to Parador Amigos. We do not like eating late on our journey south (six hours from Santander) and Parador (Posh!) dining... More

Slight confusion at check-in - they didn't have a reservation for me - but the hotel was pretty empty so no problem getting a room. Fortunately, my colleagues spoke Spanish because the guy on reception spoke no English - fair enough, of course, but could be a concern for some. The room was plain but spacious and comfortable with a... More
