Friendly staff, great location and perfect atmosphere. I highly recommend a visit to Hacienda La Herriza where you could be so close to Spain bubbly Costa Del Sol yet so far away. It fell as being in another planet or century. What a peaceful and lovely place. I cannot wait to have a chance to go there again.

After a long drive to the hotel my wife took a quick shower, when I proceeded with my shower the water had gone cold. The boilers in the apartments are a totally insufficient 50 litres! A bath was out of the question. We also heard from other guests of the same problem. You don't expect to pay a hefty 100,00... More

Dear Simon, Thank you for your comment. We value all remarks left by our clients which we are very important to us and particularly so if they help us improve our service. I would like to address a few of the issues you mention as I was personally present on that Saturday evening. 1. It is true that our hotel... More

I attended my daughters wedding last year. It was the best wedding I had ever been to and all the more so seeing how happy she was made me the most emotional mum alive... La Herriza is like a storybook setting with little cottages for rooms, all brimming with rustic charm, very cosy indeed specially having all the family and... More

I have fond memories of this place a few years back, when I stayed with a friend at another hotel under the same management. We recently went back to visit and it was just like I remembered it. The open views of the mountains and countryside are fantastic - it's the perfect place to get away from the big city... More

My wife and I spent a night here summer last year as friends had rented a villa nearby which was not accessible (I am in a wheelchair) . We found Hacienda through Booking.com (no longer on their website) and it stated that it had "Facilities for disabled guests" The restaurant is beautiful with panoramic views of the forests and mountains... We visited with my parents, just to eat, and expected a lovely meal as we have been to the restaurant before - each year for about 5 years. We were very disappointed. The service was slow and when the first sign of food arrived - the bread, it was very pale and frozen in the centre. The menu selection was... More

Dear Hannie, Thank you for your feedback. I am really sorry to hear you did not enjoy your meal on this occasion and even more so as a returning client of many years! I am not sure what happened on this particular day, as you can see from other comments our clients generally speak very well of our restaurant, cooking... More

We went for a cool deals (spanish groupon type deal). Had dinner bed and breakfast. Cookery course with wine and dinner with wine in the evening. The most fantastic cookery course, only two of us there. We had a great time with five courses and lots of wine! Dinner in the evening with local wine. Didnt really need any more... More

We just ate here . Food was o.k ,pleasant staff. Nice spot . The pool didn't look as if it had much attention . Sunbed mattresses were dirty. Could be great but few visitors whilst we were there so perhaps not enough income to support costs or worst case low standards.

I would like to thank all the staff at La Herriza for a wonderful weekend. Marco and all the staff could not have done more to make us feel at home. The food was excellent and we loved the cookery course. The accommodation was comfortable and we will definitely be back - Italian cooking next time Marco!!

This is a charming hotel with good architecture and style set in an amazing landscape that has been seriously neglected. From the cigarette stubs that are commonplace around the grounds to the unkempt gardens the hotel is in serious need of some TLC. The damp room that we were first given had crumbling plaster and blown light bulbs and although... More
