The Caballo Andaluz is an Andalucian style small hotel which has the most amazing views down towards the coast, Gibraltar and Morocco. The receptionist/Breakfast waiter was very friendly and helpful on arrival. The rooms were typically Spanish and cosy in a style I like when I am travelling for pleasure with my family. The superior rooms have large sun trap... More

The hotel is on the edge of Gaucin within very comfortable walking distance of the bars and restaurants. The room was comfortable if a little tired. The terrace has spectacular views, half of it can be closed off with patio doors in the event of inclement weather. Staff were welcoming and courteous. The continental breakfast was very good. Excellent value... More

Gaucin is a great place with unique and beautiful nature. The hotel is well located on the outskirts of the city, with breathtaking views of the valley. The owners are friendly and helpsome and the rooms are clean and nice for the price. Absolutely value for money. The town is cozy with many artists with exhibitions.

This is a 2 star hotel in the middle of an old town, high in the mountains of rural Spain. Pease do not book it if you wish to have "atmosphere" or an extensive room service. If you want tea and coffee in your room go to Bournemouth. If you want a packed bar, go to Center Parks. It does... More

W had dinner at the hotel twice during our stay in Gaucin. Both times we had excellent, friendly service and honest, local food, freshly prepared. The gazpacho is one of the best we tasted and the steak on the hotplate was great. It's not a 4 star experience but the warmth of the welcome and the lovely views are a... More

I have mixed feelings about this "boutique" hotel. There's no question the view from the room and most of the hotel on a clear day is superb. The owner appears to have bought quality doors and windows that separate the outer patio from the nicely enclosed inner patio that adjoined our room. A nice continental breakfast with American style coffee... More

Having read the other reviews I looked forward to our 3 day break at the Caballo Andaluz - I have to wonder if we stayed at the same hotel! The hotel is bereft of any atmosphere - we only saw two other couples at breakfast over all three days. Breakfast does not start until after 9.00am (9.30 on Sunday) and... More

Good location and parking easily available right outside the hotel. Room was spacious, comfortable and the terrace & balcony had the most wonderful views over the mountains to Gibraltar and North Africa. The Restaurant also has these views. After 5 mornings of croissant, bread, jams, coffee/tea and orange juice we would have welcomed a change at breakfast! Evening meal was... More
