Beautiful renovated building. Really lovely room with a fantastic view. You will go wow. Very charismatic host and great service from Pilar. When we arrived and the village was in cloud we thought where on earth have we arrived as village seemed very remote but the rest of the days were sunny and the village is so pretty. Loads of... Had the pleasure of stopping in La Fructuosa for just one night. It is a beautiful hotel in the middle of the fantastic village of Gaucin with the most amazing views across the mountains, down to the coast with Gibraltar in the distance and on a clear day the mountains of Morocco. We stopped in the Pension room as there... More

According to Conde Nast, and I completely agree. This hotel is superior in all respects and at a good price considering the outstanding quality of accomodations and professional service. The food is world class as well. Costa del Sol is a bit misleading. The hotel is inland, across the Sierras from the coast, between Sevilla and Granada. If visiting the... More

We went to Gaucin to have a peaceful holy week. The hotel is impressive, with beautiful views and rooms. We had dinner in the restaurant, which is located in what used to be a winery. The food was great and very beautifully presented. However, what really made us love the restaurant was the staff. Jesús and Luis, the owners, were... More

We stayed here for one night and enjoyed the hotel. It took awhile to check in as there is no manned reception desk. The room was nicely decorated but the chairs were very uncomfortable. We know it is rare to find a room with seating so this was both enticing and disappointing! There is no aircon and during our stay... More

We really enjoyed our stay here. Upon arrival, the beds in our room were bathed in afternoon sunlight, this made for an enjoyable siesta! The view from our room was incredible, Gibralter, Morocco and the ocean all visible from our balcony. The hotel has an interesting history which is reflected in the decor. The breakfast was delicious, quince jam, jamon,... More

We only stayed at La Fructosa for one night, and enjoyed our stay. Our room was large and comfortable, and the views from the room were spectacular. There is no lift so we had to help the owner get our bags up to our room. We ate breakfast in the downstairs restaurant. The breakfast was excellent, and the decor of... More

We had only one night in Gaucin whilst Luis was taking a well earned end of season break in Italy. We had the hotel to ourselves, beautifully looked after by Pila. Warm and welcoming, a home from home with breathtaking views from both our room and the top terrace. The rooms and the beds are extremely comfortable, masses of hot... More

5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 22, 2014

In September an old college friend and roommate and I ventured forth on a week's adventure in Andalucia, with the excuse of visiting another classmate who had retired to Gaucin. Gaucin is a typical Pueblo Blanco with lots of ups and downs, very good exercise for the legs, a number of nice cafes and a ruined castle. Our friend suggested... More

We stayed twice during a tour of Andalucia. This is more like a bed&breakfast. In one of those legendary white villages. Already the entry of the hotel makes you feel like you are visiting with friends. The terrace, the "living room", all feels so inviting, intimate, private. Quiet elegance throughout in the choice of furniture, paintings, decoration. The breakfast rooms... More
