We chose this Parador with a view to a relaxing stay with some pampering. We had both been ill with flu and were staying at our house in Andalucia but wanted something special to celebrate my husband's 75th birthday. The hotel is in a fabulous setting above a lovely stretch of sand hills and sandy beach. It is surrounded by... More

Situated in the Donana Natural Park, beside the Atlantic ocean and the long and very clean Mazagnn beach, in the middle of a vast forest. A perfect venue to combine nature and relaxation. Restaurant good , service very good , over all positive

The Parador is very beautiful and is set in wonderful grounds on the edge of a cliff and overlooking a lovely sandy beach. The grounds include lovely gardens, a wonderful outdoor pool and some cabin type rooms as well as the main building. The room was large, light and very comfortable and also clean. It had a large balcony with... More

Again our gps took us on a very strange journey. We were originally allocated a room near the stairs and on the ground floor. After requesting a room on the first floor our view of the hotel changed. A good hotel if you want to visit the beach, a bit dirty however, the pool was excellant, spa and suna were... More

We went there in September. The hotel overall seemed tired. The food in the restaurant was very average - certainly not up to price. Our first day the weather was bad, so we were delighted that there was an indoor pool. Which I'm sure was very nice, BUT - you have to wear a bathing cap (this is a Spanish... More

The title of this review comes from one of this lovely Parador's descriptions of itself. We have been spending a couple of weeks a year here for some thirty years at different seasons and, having visited 72 Paradors in addition, feel well able to comment. It is located in a pine forest next to one of the most beautiful and... More

As you enter the lobby, you imediately notice that you' re moving back in time. The appraisal: Rooms - spacious and quite decent, good and new bathroom. Room service at a good standard. Welcome sweets and water on arrival. The services - restaurant - good atmosphere, good standard of equipment, attentive service. Menú somewhat short. Tasted: the lamb leg, very... More

The Parador at Mazagon has enjoyed mixed reviews recently and some of these have been blatantly unfair. Listening to some of the boorish, ignorant and ill-founded comments and demands leaves one speechless at the British on holiday! It is perhaps time to set the record straight. The Parador enjoys a magnificent site overlooking a strand stretching almost unbroken to Malaga... More

This Parador is what I would term as being old modern in that it is not based on a historic building but has been in operation for a number of years. Its position is absolutely amazing, sitting on a cliff top above a wide beach that seems to go on forever. The grounds are well tended with a a lot... More
