2 hour travel from faro rooms clean paths slippy food terrible always cold a long walk to beach and shops entertainment basic pools are nice phone calls are 25 euros a unit a unit being 15 seconds our calls cost 36 euros for under 30 mins!!!!! bus driver nice theres 3 journeys during the day none at night though! more

Dirty apartments, the bathroom smelt like a public toilet, food left by previous occupants down the side of the sofa bed, mop and brush filthy and caked in hairs, dirty fridge,dirty walls. DON'T STAY THERE. more

hotel very clean and very beautiful place,entertainers very nice people but do need a car if you want to go further a field,food on all inclusive very poor selection ;snacks ok but same things and not always hot when you eat them .all in all hotel and facilities great food terrible. D.WATKISS more

We stayed at the Quinta Nova in May 06 for one week. Excellent friendlly service from reception staff, loved the 2 pools which were always accessible. Good entertainment, apartments clean and well equipped although could possible do with a slight overhall, but dont let this put you off. Lovely friendly stafff who go out of their way to help you.... more

we went for two weeks at the quinta nova and totally enjoyed ourselves. for the first week we went self catering and for the second week all inclusive. the staff were very friendly and couldnt do enough for us.the food was varied and they also did a childrens menu on request. all in all we had such a good holiday... more

We have just returned from 2 weeks at the Quinta Nova Sun Club, Alvor. Overall, we all enjoyed the holiday. The entertainment team were fantastic!!! Joao, Rui, Fillipa and Maria, their personalities shone through in everything they did, and they had time for everyone and always had time to stop for a chat. Overall the reviews we'd read had been mostly positive, but for the odd ones which mentioned "Prisoner Cell Block H" - and looking at the apartments we knew exactly where those reviews were coming from!
