The hotel backs on to Alvor beach which is one of the most beautiful beaches in the Algarve. The rooms are very clean and staff are friendly and helpful. We stayed for 5 days @17th December. We didn't eat in the Hotel as we preferred to eat out. Walk to town is about 15 to 20 mins. We walked in... More

Firstly I think I should say that we stayed in Luna Alvor Village hotel in May so we were comparing this hotel to that one and to be honest whilst this hotel is perfectly situated by the beach I think I would prefer the Luna Alvor next time. That said on a positive note the staff were all very pleasant... More

I don't know Portugal very well, but this hotel is v good for a beach holiday. All the usual facilities you'd expect at a v good quality. Good quantity of sunbeds but you do have to bag one though not too early. Access to a wonderful beach is through a gate and across the dune. Only things to watch are... More

This was the hotel that we went to on our first holiday abroad when we were 18. Many years later as a suprise for my husband's 50th birthday we went back and we were not disappointed. Even though it had obviously been refurbished no doubt several times it was still a brilliant hotel. The original man who was the dining... More

The hotel was bright and airy and situated directly adjacent to the beach. The breakfast was quite varied and served buffet style. Lots of golfers, couples and families with young children. The room was good with all facilities and unfortunately for us due to the bad weather we found out the tv had several movie channels. There are lots of... More

This hotel was a good base , within a stone throw of Alvor and within striking distance of Penina. Palmeres etc(for golf). Sagres, silves and Monchique for site seeing are all within one hour driving distance. ...but BEWARE GOLDCAR hire rental. The staff at Faro were aggressive and rude and had I had the foresight to check up on them... More

Having stayed in Alvor for the past 4 years (3 times a year - now I am retired) I have always stayed at either the Delfim the Priaia or the Atlantic ( all 3 are part of the Pestana group, I had booked into the Atlantic, but upon arrival I was taken to the Dom Jose, as the Atlantic is... More
