This is the best place I stayed during my week trip to Norway. We rented a small studio cabin, but got upgraded to a 2 bedroom cabin for free, and it was a really lovely place. Location was perfect, right by the water, the staff was very friendly, again the cabin was very, very nice, and they had motorboats that you could rent for about the same price as a kayak at other locations. It was about 2 km from the main town, but since we went to Geiranger for the scenery it was perfect that it was away from town, and the 2 km was still an easy walk for us (with full backpacks on) I would highly recommend it and if I return to Geiranger I will certainly be staying here again. more

I stayed here with my family for several days in the summer of 2006. It's a campground with 17 cabins you can rent. The cabins are extremely clean, and have full kitchens and bathrooms. If you haven't stayed in Norway before, cabins are a great way to go because they get you close to nature and they're generally very well maintained.

This property is in a very nice spot right on the water, a few minutes outside of the small town of Geiranger. You can rent a boat to explore the fjord on your own, and there are swings and a trampoline if you have kids. It's a very family-friendly spot.

In summer, the sunsets seem to linger for hours, and this is an incredibly peaceful, pleasant place to enjoy them. The only downside is that the departing cruise ships sometimes fire cannons, blow horns, and play loud music as they arrive and leave. It's very annoying, but after 20 minutes or so they are gone, and the peacefulness returns.
