Ist rate hotel conveniently located only 45 mins from Perugia airport...half an hour from Montepulciano and a little further to Siena. I find it difficult to find fault. All services were delivered promptly and with a smile. Aziza needs a special mention for her stewardship of the wine bar and the restaurant Davide Canella is worthy of note; serving traditional... We stayed at Locanda from May 15 to May 25, 2015. We had requested a room with a shower and no stairs, as I am mobility impaired. We had one of the Special Deluxe rooms that had 2 bathrooms - one with a shower and one with a tub/shower combo. All the rooms were very large and comfortable. Staying at... More

When we holiday we look for: 1. Excellent food; 2. Gorgeous accommodation;and 3. Genuine and friendly hosts. We found all three at Locanda dell'Amarosa. Formerly a medieval village housing over 250 families, this converted hotel is now Tuscanys best kept secret. We stayed 3 nights. Day 1 we walked to the Singalunga village then trained to beautiful Siena and ended... More

Locanda dell'Amorosa's website photos are beautiful and true-to-life, but there's nothing like experiencing the beauty in person. The ivy along the buildings was the most gorgeous shade of red, as Autumn made her presence known to all. Everywhere you looked, there was another photo opportunity. From planters filled with gorgeous flowers to the yellow leaves of the grapevines....from detailed architecture... More

The first mention here must go to the staff, all of whom were lovely and helpful, constantly smiling and doing anything we asked of them. The grounds are beautiful and our rooms were large and comfortable with big bathrooms and wonderful dressing rooms. The pool was lovely but not high on our list for an October stay. The wine bar... I stayed here on a bike tour. The rooms are large, the beds are very comfortable, and it is quiet. The grounds are beautiful and relaxing. The pool is very nice and in a beautiful spot overlooking vineyards and the surrounding area. Our group ate dinner in the dining room and we all had excellent meals and service. Before dinner... Just the best place I ever visit. Delicious food, finest architecture, amazing view, great service and paradise in Earth. My room was large and fine decorated. I ll come back for sure and stay longer. A place all should visit in a life time.

This is a very lovely hotel with large rooms, beautiful grounds, a nice swimming pool and attentive service. Convenient to Sienna and many other smaller towns. A large restaurant on site with a large breakfast offering. I did not eat any other meals here as we went out every night but it was usually crowded. The reason a travel agent... More

We recently stayed a Amorosa with friends who had been there once before, and during a week touring the wine country. It is a winery whose ancient vine covered buildings have been slowly restored, and could not be more picturesque. If you want the feel of old Italy you will find it in the architecture here. It sits apart from... More
