This is my tenth year attending Villa Barberino. I have been heading groups that take art quilt, plein AIRE and cooking classes there. Every year we go the experience gets better and better. The Boni family who run the villa have become like family to us. They are very accommodating and always gracious. The staff can't do enough for us.... More

We stayed at this hotel over the last few days .... fantastic! A place of total relaxation and tranquility where you can read in a pool where stunning and the rooms are really nice. We came back in The futur in villa Barberino with our friends....is sure, is The best hotel that we see in Tuscany! I'm sure that even... More

It does not give me any pleasure to write a bad review, but I feel I must warn other travellers of our experience. My wife and I stayed for 4 nights and on a positive note would say that the location and layout of this old villa was lovely, but that's where it ends. The room 207 was large enough... More

My husband and I stayed at Villa Barberino for about a week. I have tried to wait a little to let the bitterness subside, but I have decided to write up an honest report because I do not want others to fall into the same situation on what should be a dream vacation for many. In summary, this was without... More

Our wedding agent gave up at the phase of ordering flowers, hair-dresser, wedding cake, menu, translator for the ceremony... Additionally we found out that even the official part is not agreed with the town hall. But Tiziana, the villa owner, and Claudia, the receptionist, made it all happen in just two weeks before the wedding! They even became our witnesses... More

It is one of the most romantic place I have ever been. The beautiful Boutique Hotel is sourouded with olive trees, and it has a real Tuscany atmosphere. The restaurant is highly recomended. Choose Superior Rooms, the standard room is a bit small, but the Superior are large, beautifully furnished and all has a wonderful vue.

We stayed here for 3 nights in February time and while the staff were friendly and helpful - they weren't so much when we decided to complain about our stay. Our complaint was mainly based around heating and the restaurant. This HOTEL, not Villa, came back with lies about our reservation. We arrived around 1.45pm to check-in (check-in opened at... More

Dear Guest, We are very sorry in knowing that you didn’t appreciated your stay here in Villa Barberino. We already replied to your complain, but we explain you all the points again. Our structure is a particular one. Villa Barberino is a sort of little hamlet and it is not the classic hotel. We have some rooms in the villa,... More

We stayed in the Villa for 5 nights. We took the 3 bedrooms apartment which was very comfortable, clean and fully equipped. The main problem was no air-conditioning and during the night it was a bit hot. The location is very convenient – 45 minutes from Florence and 45 minutes from Siena. We had a dinner in the Villa's restaurant... More

Okay... First of all, there is no nuclear power plant. Italy opted out of nuclear power in the 70's. the power plant is gas powered and, yes, unattractive but a necessary part of life. We didn't drive through an industrial area to get there. There is a road that skirts around the power plant but its not mandatory. Our view... More

Out of the three weeks we were in Europe, this was by far the worst experience. I chose this place because of its location (close to the A1 and easy access to Florence/Chianti) and the amazing pictures. Also, it was rated as a "four star" hotel on booking.com. Here's what the pictures don't tell you: - Lovely nuclear power plant... More
