The staff are extremely helpful, the hotel is fabulouse! After a bad experience with our own holiday the Hotel D'Orange could not do enough to help. We decided to take refuge here and we were treated like gods. The hotel and facillities are world class but the prices are very reasonable. Highly reccomended.

We stayed at this hotel for one week. When we checked in we were greeted with a very unhappy face from the receptionist and it was like this every day. This is very contrary to how you usually are welcomed in Sicily. One of the receptionists however (maybe the son of the family which owns the hotel?), was very kind,... More

Friendly family-run hotel with warm welcome and helpful staff. Excellent food - four course evening meals and a variety at breakfast, with my favourite hot ricotta and aubergine pie!!! Very well catered for as a vegetarian (the only one in the group). I was pleased to get a room with a bath which helped after walking all day.

Everything a family run hotel should be. A warm welcome from everyone. Good English spoken Bedrooms and bathrooms are clean and comfortable. The quality of the food at breakfast and dinner was excellent. Excellent location for exploring Mt Etna and the coast with lots of enthusiastic help and advice provided by the hotel staff. A great opportunity to enjoy an... More

This hotel ticks all the boxes! Especially for price... Staff are very helpful and sincere. Front of house Giuseppe has excellent English and is very helpful with advice. Rooms are clean and well thought out - as one would expect from a family run hotel. Breakfast is free & no frills, but fine. Superb location, especially if you have a... More

We are booking the hotel since more than 7 years, mostly over Christmas and New Year, but also during Easter, Pentecost and Summer. We prefer the Executive type rooms, but we booked also DeLuxe type rooms. All rooms are convenient and arranged with love regarding details. The rooms are always clean, including the bath room. Every room has its own spacy... More

D'Orange D'Alcantara is hardly some five star resort in Taormina, but it is also very affordable and not very far from a lot of great locations in Sicily (including Taormina). Francavilla di Sicilia is a charming (albeit small and not touristy) town. The rooms were basic but clean. The staff tried to help. The restaurant in the hotel was okay... More

A quiet, clean and tidy, family run hotel, 5 minutes walk form the center of the town. While Etna is just out of sight, there are great views of the surrounding hills and the sun seems to shine almost every day! The hotel is run by the family, who speak English. The welcome is warm and all requests are dealt... More

I stayed at this hotel for a week as part of a Ramblers walking holiday in late October. Unfortunately, the 14 of us in the group were the only people staying at the hotel, apart from one night when there was another small party of cyclists. As a result, it rather lacked atmosphere, which was a shame as the family... More

Spent one week at this hotel as part of a Ramblers walking holiday. Evening food was excellent - four courses every night which were very good. Breakfast was disappointing though - unless you were there at 7.30 there was no hot food so each day was bread rolls with the same ham and cheese every day which got very dull.... More
