Originally, we had planned to stay a week at the Rifugio and then go for 10 days to Cala Gonone, to keep the best for last. In fact, we enjoyed the Rifugio, and Angelo's, Dino's, Silvia's, Stefano' hospitality and Maddalena's outstanding cooking so much we came back after our beach holiday to spend the last evening here. What can we... More

A family of four, we enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere and the traditional food at this Riffugio. We went to Cala Gonone for a whole day boat trip - beautiful beaches and interesting guiding in the Grotta bue Marino. The riffugio was more authentic and quiet than Cala Gonoe. Eating Sardinian home made pasta and more under the stars was very... More

My boxfriend and I spend a couple of days at Rifigio Gorroppu. The owner Angelo is such a kind person and a very good cook, The typical sardic food was delicious. Angelo made us feel very welcome and the atmosphere was very familiar. The rooms were freshly renovated, simple, but clean. The view over the mountains from the room and... More

Stayed here early June 2013, and loved every single bit of it. The rooms are comfortable and are connected to a terrace with a splendid view of the Gorropu gorge - great for an evening drink. The highlight of your evening will, however, be the delicacies served during dinner, with a varying menu per evening. Together with the warm and... More

We have stayed in many Agriturismo and similar accommodations in Sardina and Corsica over the last 6 weeks. There is none better than Rifugio Gorropu. Angelo the wonderful host and his staff are top class. Their generosity and care for all their guests is a real highlight, Sardinian speaker or not! The food is of the highest quality and seems... The most friendly place we've ever stayed in. We were a family of 5 and shared one large clean and well made room. The view from the patio outside the rooms is spectacular, both in the morning as well as in the evening. The dinner in the evening was amazing and a definite must. The breakfast typically Italian with coffee,... More

We spent 5 nights in mid-May at Rifugio. Angelo is a great host, bursting with energy, and his sister, Maddelena, is a great cook and warm hostess. We couldn't be happier with the experience- with the incredible views from the rooms, the environment of the area, access to mountains, sea, and the gorge of Gorroppu itself. French, Dutch, German-speakers predominated,... More

My Fiancee and I have just returned from the Paradise that is Sardinia. Bright amongst the superlatives of our memories must be the Rifugio Gorroppu - what a fabulous place. The minute we followed the small track to the ledge on which it is built, we knew it would be a memorable stay. Angelo greeted us, not really knowing any words... More

We spent three nights at this peaceful and friendly place last week. It is a great location for hiking or beachcombing. The food was good but a little too plentiful for me! Angelo and the other staff were very friendly and helpful. We loved the tranquility of the place.
