My husband and I were bicycling through Puglia and reserved the Hotel La Terra for one night in Ostuni. We arrived and were greeted politely and they were very comfortable with our having bikes (we learned later that some bike group tours use La Terra, so bikes are no big deal). The front desk person took them off to the... more

Historic building in centre of old town is great. Room clean but average specification. Rosalba of reception very helpful to non-Italian speaker but other staff seemed unhelpful. Breakfast service was appalling - buffet was not refreshed and server blamed cycling group for having eaten everything. Server very aggressive about providing space and food. If you choose to stay in historic... more

Lovely palazzo converted into a very nice hotel, the perfect location in the historic center of Ostuni, "The White City." Our room, #103, was very spacious and bright with a window overlooking the pedestrian "street." Guests can enjoy a terrace on the 2nd & 3rd floor, which overlooks all the white rooftops. Very clean, excellent water pressure, comfortable pillows and... more

We stayed at La Terra for 4 days - very good base for exploring the surrounding area of Puglia. Very friendly helpful staff, excellent restaurant and our room (303) was a decent size and had fabulous views across Ostuni. If you are driving, call the hotel when you reach the bottom of the hill and they will organise collection of... more

Lovely hotel tucked away in the pedestrian area of Ostuni. Very close to all the action. Nice staff, adequate rooms, an elevator and a very nice breakfast. Also had dinner at the hotel one night and it was outstanding. Good base from which to visit the Trulli houses in Alberobello and Marina Franca. Also close to the Brindisi airport for... more

this is a wonderful old hotel set in the old quarter of the town. The rooms are amazing - dating back to the 1500's but now with all comforts and great bathrooms. There are beautiful sitting rooms and two great terraces. I can not say enough good things about here! more

I had read about this hotel on Tripadvisor and I was not disappointed. We did not have a booking so just walked in an asked for a room. We were given a suite at a discounted rate. The staff are very friendly and accomodating. The location is perfect right in the heart of the pedestrianised old town. Parking is an... more

This is a great option for Ostuni. The hotel is located in a quite location (the streets around the hotel are now blocked to traffic), the hotel has a nice, sleepy feel, the service is professional - not overly friendly or surly, and gave me great tips on things to do and see in the area - the hotel ameneties... more

La Terra is a little gem of a hotel in the heart of the old town of Ostuni. A converted monastery, the hotel is bathed in history and fabulous architecture - vaulted ceilings and beautiful expanses of stone and marble everywhere. Helpful staff, great value for money. We used this hotel as a base whilst searching for property in the... more

I just happened upon this hotel while driving through Ostuni. (I rarely plan ahead when traveling in Italy.) This was a wonderful all-around experience - perfect spot high in the town, overlooking most of "the white city". Great location near many restaurants, shopping, internet cafe, etc. I will definately recommend this hotel to anyone. I was lucky to get a... more
