Italian food and hospitality at their best. It was just for one night, but for sure we will remember it for a while. Many thanks to Silvana & Giuseppe for managing the room on the spot. Dinner was one the best we ever had. It's a must if you happen to stay in Ostuni.

You don't need to stay at this masseria to experience the service and food. A group of 16 of us recently had lunch here after reading a review on the food quality on an another site. WOW what a surprise. The review did not do it justice. Traditional Pugiesi food done with a very modern and contemporay touch. The vegetables,... More

Even if you can afford the fancy 5 star Masseria's in this area, this is the best choice. This authentic experience is what this area is all about, people come from all around just to have dinner but the staff and the atmosphere are worth a 3 night stay. Silvana & Guiseppe extend the warmest hopsitality you will find in... More

We spent almost 3 weeks traveling through the region of Puglia in August 2014, and this place was our last stop, for 3 nights, as we were flying out of Brindisi. The overall experience was fantastic, beautiful place in the midst of olive groves, and an extremely hospitable family, where all were personally involved in welcoming their guests, a personal... though it was a rainy night, we sat in the courtyard under a large parasol for cocktails before dinner. We were then invited by Giuseppe to hear the history of the olive pressing, the estate and the fantastic meal that awaited us. Romancing the experience via his expert storytelling made it so outstanding, leaving us wondering why this isn't the... More

Simply one of the best travel experiences. OK; the weather was wonderful, also a local winery was presenting its wine selection and the tour around the olive orchard added knowledge to our culinary interest. We stayed in the newly renovated block; it was peaceful and luxurious in a non-pretentious way. Food was excellent and the service levels were high. Sitting... More

We spent 3 days here. As soon as we arrived we were spellbound, it has such a warm character with an old stone farmhouse with a courtyard of flowers and palms, set in 800 year old olive groves. The house is full of the owners collection of antiques, old movie posters, old records etc. Before dinner the owner told us... More

We spent an evening here last week and it was memorable. We were given a tour of the property learning something of it's fascinating history after which we were treated to the most delicious meal. Each course was introduced by the delightful owner and was accompanied by some extraordinary wine. After dinner they screened silent films in the olive grove... More

Il Frantoio is run by the family that lives there and their care and attention shines through in everything: from the accommodation, to the service and to the excellent food. Most of the food is grown on the farm and you will be served food from Puglia that you won't find elsewhere. On the first night you will be tempted... More

Our family of three had a wonderful three-night stay at Masseria Il Frantoio. We loved the historic charm of the main building, and the grounds were beautiful with thousands of old olive trees, beautiful gardens and a fabulous patio. We were part of a larger party of several families traveling together and felt that Masseria had something for everyone. The... More
