The Mosel Valley is gorgeous, and the Hotel Haus Lipmann is perfectly located to showcase that beauty. We paid a little extra to get a room with a terrace overlooking the river, and it was worth it. The room was huge and comfortable and beautiful. The terrace was absolutely amazing. We chose this hotel based on Rick Steves' recommendation, and... More

Our first visit to the Mosel valley. We chose this hotel based on Rick Steve's guidance and Beilstein and the Hotel Haus Lipmann were perfect. We planned on staying for 2 nights and extended to a 3rd night based on our reluctance to leave this wonderful place. Comfortable, modern rooms in an idyllic location. We also enjoyed the great food... More

Our second visit. Excellent standard throughout. Service, food cleanliness, hospitality all to a very high standard. Had a river view room with balcony.I would not hesitate to return and definitely recommend this family run hotel. It has it's own restaurant and serves it own Haus Lipmann white wine, this is an added bonus as you can have wine without worrying about... More

Enjoyed our one night in Beilstein. Charming room with peekaboo view of the Mosel. Breakfast was included in atmospheric dining room. Room was quaint and free wifi a plus. Be aware there are lots of stairs and steep paths and hotel is cash only. Pleasant terrace with good food and good wine. Staff was attentive and pleasant. No cruise ships... More

I chose this hotel based on Rick Steve's recommendation. My family of six really enjoyed our stay and breakfast was excellent. Beilstein was lovely, and it ended up being my family's favorite town in Germany. We would come again. We stayed in the guest house on the top floor which offered a beautiful view, but the stairs are not for... More

David and his wife Anja did everything in their abilities to help make this a wonderful 4 night stay at the end of our Germany tour. The Mosel has wine tasting, bike paths always, , and biking on streets on Happy Mosel day. We also enjoyed to relative ease to see Trier, the romantic Rhine and several castles including burg... My family stayed at their secondary location (just about 40 meters from the main) and it was the perfect family room. Lots of space and a large bathroom. No elevators so the three story stairs may be a bit much for smaller children or people with physical limitations. Breakfast was great and the entire staff was very kind. There was... More

We highly recommend this delightful establishment. We had a lovely room for my husband, son and myself with a balcony overlooking the Mosel. The triple is large with an actual additional bed. Old building with big beams yet up to date bathroom. When you ate breakfast, which had ample options, you felt like it was back in time ( loved... More

This hotel came to our attention through Rick Steve's guide book. His review of it was good and met our expectations. Greetings upon our arrival were very friendly by all of the staff we met. English is spoken by almost all. We requested a room with a view of the Mosel river. It overlooked the ferry dock and highway. This... More

In a country and culture which prides itself on family friendliness it's strange to encounter an organization which is so vehemently opposed to kids. I called to make a reservation and was told that there was a room available with an appropriate price. When he found out that I have a child with me he said the room is no... More
